I just bought 10qts the other day, great oil as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to try it since my last oil analysis showed unusual high iron and copper. I'm also trying 5-30 mobil1 right now to see if a thicker viscosity helps any.

I wouldn't get too excited about the results of your oil analysis. Years ago I had an oil analysis done on a 350 Chevy I had and it came back with similar results to yours. The engine had only about 10,000 miles when I had the analysis done and it went on to outlast the car. The engine had over 130,000 miles when I pulled it out of the car and last I heard the guy I sold it too put another 100,000 before it was showing that it was getting tired.
Just give it regular oil changes, don't run it hard until it's at full operating temperature and you won't have a problem.
Also don't deviate too much from what Ford recomends for viscosity. 5w30 is probably ok but don't go any thicker.
These Ford modular engines are a lot more precision and built to tighter tolerences than the old pushrod engines. Using an oil that is too thick and you run the risk of the thick oil not lubricating the bearings properly. It also takes more hp for the oil pump to move heavier oil.

I had an analysis done when the engine had about 10K miles on it showing similar numbers to this most recent one. I chalked it up to normal wear during break in. Now the engine has 40K miles on it, definitely broken in. Anyway, thanks for the advice, I debated long and hard about deviating from the 5-20. The car runs just fine, and I can't tell any difference in mpg, or anything for that matter. Time will tell, and we will see at the end of this 5K miles when I sample again.
