Jack Stands
In the spirit of finding the right area for this topic, I searched the General Mustang discussion forum for "jack stands" but got no hits. Then I searched the 2005+ Mustang forum and got no relevant hits.
I want to rotate my tires using a hydraulic floor jack and jack stands. Checking the owner's manual, it shows where to place the car jack, and the 2 1/2-ton floor jack I'm using fits in that same area.
For the back, is it acceptable to place the jack stands under the axle close to the wheels? It just seems like the obvious place and certainly appears to be the most stable and strong area to put them.
For the front, I really couldn't tell where the best place to put the jack stands is that wouldn't either damage suspension parts or put too much stress on the floor of the vehicle. Where is the best place to put them?
