Installed Champion Plugs
The problem is that there is a very small gap between the shaft area of the plug and the cylinder wall that it sits in and the carbon gets built up in that area. No injector cleaner or additive can get to it.
That would make sense. I might pull them again and put some on the threads too.

By the way what is that ‘plug gap tool’ is that necessary to buy with new plugs?

I ordered my plugs from D'Agostino Racing today for $17 each, will be here Friday.
I ordered the little vaccuum caps listed in the TSB (like $12 for a pack of 10), and I got the Ford Carb Cleaner ($6 a bottle), nickle never seize from Amazon ($15) and the 3V spark plug tool from amazon ($20).
I'm making my own broken spark plug extractor tool starting tomorrow. I'll put some pics up tomorrow night. Going to make the tap holder out of steel and then I'll make the tap guide out of Aluminum Thursday or Friday. I need to pull a COP out and measure the dimensions of the spark plug well.

any write up on this plug removal or pic where the plugs are? I am so used to the plug wires in the old days that i can't find the plugs on this car. LOL.. Is it where those round things with wires on them. I tried pulling those out but to no avail.
The round thing is the Coil On Plug...or COP. There is a bolt holding each one on. Remove the bolt, then pull the COP off, they come off with a little effort.
I wonder if all these issues would have gone away if Ford would have designed the plug correctly in the first place! For example, why not put the plug sealing surface at the BASE of the plug? I can understand the reasons for the long reach plug, but they could have kept the larger diameter threaded surface up where it is and put a taper seal at the bottom of the plug. That should have fit the space they had for the hole and it would have prevented anything from getting between the plug barrel and the head and locking them in place.
This just in.
very late 2007 and all 2008 engines have different cylinder heads than the 2005-07 models. On the 2008s the threads go all the way down to the chamber and they use a different spark plug. This was done to fix the problem we are all having. Look here:

wonderful, just f***ing wonderful. Looks like I have the "old" style heads and hence the crappy sparkplugs.
Thanks for posting that info Dustin.

Wow. Awesome. Although the plug in the picture on that thread looks like the V6.
Almost thought this was an April Fools joke.
I guess no one has released a plug yet? Shouldn't we have a factory part number for this?
So no-one with an 08 had pulled a plug? Hasn't someone supercharged their 08 and had to put different plugs in?

All systems go. I have the plugs, carb cleaner, vaccum caps, anti seize, spark plug tool and I even made myself by own broken plug removal tool. I just TIG welded a M9X1 tap into the end of a long .5" steel rod and put a tee bar on the top of it. Then I made a .950" diameter sleeve that's 5" long out of delrin (machinable plastic). I bored it .501" all the way through and bored out the bottom side .8" diameter X 2" deep. It should work fine. The sleeve goes inside the spark plug well and centers the tap
I got the plugs in from D'Agostino Racing, Derek is awesome
I'll start take offers on the extractor tool. I'll have no need for it after this.
