I've been looking for this moleskin or felt weather stripping so I can install it on the inside of my GT's door panel before tinting my windows. I don't want to take the chance of scratching the tint. I looked around at Home Depot and Lowes but they don't carry it. I found some online but they only sell it commercially. Anyone found it online or have some extra left over they're willing to sell? thanks!

I found mine at a local craft store. It came in 8.5 x 11 sheets with an adhesive backing already on it.

Can anyone tell me where you are talking about putting the felt. For some reason I can't picture where it needs to go!

Hmm, I'll have to give that a try! How thick is it?

between the window and the gasket on the inside of the car. Pull the gasket back and put it between the gasket and the window.

Hi! If you're gonna tint your windows, make sure you have inner felts or it will scratch. After a month I had mine tinted, they were all scratched. I was lucky, the guy did the job over and installed felts. 2 months have gone by and not a scratch.

Enjoy,

John

It is very thin and been holding up great. I popped the door panels and removed the window seals for ease O felt installation. The door panels can be a little tricky. . . a couple torx bolts and lots of little stinkers. Just make sure to get the ones behind the 1) power window panel 2) the handle where you pull the door closed and 3) the door opening handle.

Just to verify, the moleskin covers the inside of the inner glass weather stripping. AKA: the black rubbery stuff that seals up against the inside of the window right at the top of the door.

The reason I am asking is my tint also was scratched (scheduled to be redone next Saturday). The only thing we can see touching the inside of the window is the weather stripping and it FEELS soft enough that it shouldn't be scratching like it is. I didn't see any hard plastic inner window guild (other than the two that guild the very edges of the window, the window channel).

I guess I COULD fire up the computer when I get home and pull out my service DVD and see what all is inside there...
