If someone can provide the step by step sequence I should take to replace the stock air filter with the K&N I would appreciate it. TIA.

Actually, you're making a huge mistake by putting a filter in at all. This engine breathes so much better without that restriction in there.

Nah, take it a step further and just remove the whole airbox, cut a hole in your hood and run the hose and the MAF through the hole. Fresh, unfiltered air
