How to make 400hp N/A
FAST never said at what rpm that 40hp was at. it could be a 40hp gain at 3000 rpm which will do almost nothing for e.t. and speed. it may feel better on the street though. i need to see some unbiased dyno tests not by magazines that advertise for the products. somehow those magazine dyno #'s are always much better than everybody elses. the t/b is a good example.
you will need some aggresive cams and ported heads to get close to the 400rwhp mark not to mention all the other obvious bolt-ons; L/T headers, cai, UDP's, E-H2O pump, aluminum driveshaft and a really good tune.

I said 400 crankshaft hp.No offense, but if you read some of my posts you would not mistake me saying that I want 400rwhp(but actually I want 340rwhp).I never said anything about me wanting 400rwhp.
I would love to eventually get p&p heads, cams, etc.
Besides, my garage queen is my hobby car that I intend to do all of the above mentioned to minus the udp's.
Does anyone know of any hi-flow C.A.R.B legal Cats that fit onto the stock mid-pipe? The reason for this is because I have Flowmaster A/T's and I want to purchase Hooker Supercomp LT Headers to go with them. I know the headers need the hooker x-pipe to fit properly, but I have heard mostly negative reviews of Flowmasters with an x-pipe. So,my solution is to expand the forward pipes on the stock h-pipe to slip into the headers.Or is that problem solved by using o2 extensions? Also, the cats on the stock mid-pipe are restrictive,so without replacing the stock mid-pipe I want to just replace the stock cats with better flowing ones.
Couple of reasons.
When, I first bought the car I said I wanted to keep it n/a. It would be my daily driver and I want to keep it as long as I can.
My wife drives the car, also.(probably the biggest reason) I don't want a car where something can happen. I don't believe she is as good a driver as most.
Last, since I had planned on keeping this car for a while, I told myself that the garage queen/weekend warrior would be my forced induction car. As soon as this car is paid off, there will be another mustang in my garage. I'd rather spend the 5-7 grand on my next car.
Unless something drastically changes my mind this is where I stand, personally.
It's basically something I don't want to do to this car.
