How about a 303RWHP Auto? BamaChips Cam dyno...

You can always use the TB for a paper weight.
I'm going to hold off on everything until Doug installs/tests the new high rise intake on his Rouch.
Maybe in Jan or Feb!
I think the new intake will be the best bang for the buck.
Still waiting on the SCT Live Wire. Me and the guys at the shop were looking for a spot to install the 02 bung before the cat, man its going to be tight. They seem to believe that there is already an unused bung somewhere on one of the exhaust manifolds. Who knows.
John I have too many paper weights now. I have a bung welded in mine. Make darn sure it is the right thread for the application you will be using. Are you saying you are going to purchase a Live Wire?

[quote=Mongoose;792444]Yeah, when they come out and Doug puts his blessing on it.
From what I've heard you have to install an O2 sensor in order to read the A/F with the Live Wire.
I dont know why though. If the SCT Live Wire is going to plug directly into the ECM you should be able to see it with no additional sensors.
Man, your lucky you dont have to go outside.............it is COLD

Ohh come on guys, dont be hatin on the TB?? It works great for what its worth...I can't wait to see how well the BBK unit does. I can say in the paper weight test they are equal, also it wont take much to out perform it on the dyno, say 1 hp, so we'll see???? ![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)

Doug,
Can your designed Comp Cam grind be tuned using Diablo tuning? I am very interested in The BamaChips Grind. Is this custom grind fall between the stage III and IV? I am staying N/A and perhaps go w/ p/p heads.

Good work Doug. What cams were these?
It appears you lost quite a bit of power and torque below 4750 RPM with the new cams. The gains at above 4750 RPM are indicative of the new cam profiles shifting the powerband higher up. When I went to the Comp Cams XE262H ("Stage 1") NPI cams for my 2V 4.6, I lost quite a bit of low end power and these are the mild aftermarket cams. The guys with 270s and 274s had lopey idles and lost a lot more mid-range torque.

These are Comp Cams but I just had some designed to work in both blown and n/a form since I hope to be installing a supercharger at sometime. I didn't feel like swapping cams too. They could be called a stage 3.5 if you had to?

The idle is just like stock, nothing majorly changed here. I am installing CMRC delete plates when I get the dyno in and hopefully that should help things too. I put it on the dyno in St. Louis and made 298 rwhp and 292 rwtq there, I'm hoping to be over 300/300 with the delete plates.
thanks, Doug.

Ah, custom grinds! After looking at your dyno graphs, I'm very curious about the XE253 cams (114 and 115* lob sep angles). I bet they won't lose as much torque and hp, but still provide decent gains within the usable powerband of a 4.6 3V V8 with stock internals (1000 RPM to 6500 RPM), producing more area under the torque curve. I read a dyno comparison on Modular Depot awhile back showing all the different PI Comp Cam 2V cams and the XE262AH (the mildest of all their offerings) produced the best overall results. I suspect there should be a similar trend with the 4.6 3V cams.

Hey Doug,
I have a renewed interest in these stage 3 cams and staying NA with my auto. I am seriously considering my next and probably last performance mod being these cams and longtubes. Any guesses at what the combined rwhp gain might be? Shouldn't the longtubes help the cams make a little more?
Thanks Scott
