help with turbo kits
Has anyone used or have any experance with on3 turbo kits. I have decided I am going to and a turbo to my 07GT, as I was shopping around a stumbled upon this kit, I'm new to these turbo systems so i'm not sure where to go, 2K is alot less than 4-6K. I know the whole thing about "you get what you pay for" but I just wanted some imput. Thanks.
The On3 kit is an OK starting point if you already know something about turbos. This kit is a knockoff of the Hellion kit. Basically with this kit you use the hot and cold side piping, then get a better inter-cooler and a few other things. You may get away with the BOV and the W/G but you are better off upgrading to Tial or another good brand. The turbo that comes with the kit is a guessing game. Some have had good results and for some it only lasted a few months. You can upgrade to a good Bullsey or one of the new Comp turbos. Myself I would just spend the extra money a get a good kit from Turbohorsepower, Powerhouse, or Hellion.

You said it when you said you get what you pay for. It's not a complete kit, so you will have to factor in extra stuff, ie injectors. The turbo is bad but you can upgrade to one that is not as bad for $300. It's not a bolt-on kit, alot of relocating so expect work getting it installed. Theres a few other things but they are opinions or worries so I won't bother. But, in the end you could buy it and never have any problems. Looks like a deal for somebody on a budget, I'll pass for fear of a money pit.

Give Jim Napier at THP a call. Jim is great to work with and will build a kit exactly to your needs or sell you an off the shelf kit if that does the job. Jim will answer all your questions and will be more than happy to work with you, if you have any problems during the install. I recommend THP very highly.
