Over axles hitting cross member

My car is lowered, and every bump or pothole my over axle pipes are clanging. I've tried to pad the area, but has anyone else had this problem and come up with a better solution?

Most often rotating the pipe in the H pipe connection will change the angle they go over the axle, and might give you more clearance. Then have to adjust where it attaches to your MACs, and often exhaust tip lineup suffers, or is difficult to perfect.

My Pypes midmuffler system is the worse in this regard. You still have the stock cat-back?

I still have stock cats and pipes, but the prochamber and corsas. I'm really considering using some muffler hangers to get them to stop clunking, it makes my car sound like a junkyard!

I have had the same problem with my 05 GT 'Vert since installing the "Stingers" a few years back. Not every bump, but most cause the pipes to hit.

Sooner or later, I will try to re-set all the pipes....

My exhaust shop had an issue with my Pypes Mid-muffler setup awhile ago and his solution was to put in some washers and a new longer Grade 8 bolt to drop the bar down a bit, so that the pipes wouldn't hit the bar. Seems to work and I don't think it has affected anything.

Unbolt the connection at the H, unbolt the connection at the muffler. Turn that mid pipe as high as it can go and retighten.

I got under it today and tried to turn the pipes, but my lowering just seems too aggressive for that to work. I'm gonna take it to a muffler chop and see if tehy can fab up some hangers for me!
