Exclamation Help! My E-brake won't tighten!

Hey everyone. This week I finally did my BMR LCA's and relocation brackets. The install went fine with the help of TB's write up, but after I reconnected the E-brake, it had no resistance when i tried to set it in the car. What do I do?!

Yep I agree, sounds to me like you maybe did not get the cables all the way back in correctly.

By the way you did release the parking brake handle inside the car prior to performing the work correct?

Sorry had to ask.

Yes I did release it prior. Does someone happen to have a pic of the correct way the e-brake cable should be attached?

Its not the actual parking brake that I am having trouble with, it is the parking brake cable that I not connected correctly to the rear-end of the car. This happened after I did my LCA/Relo install.

Matt, double check the retaining clip installation. If that cable circular stop and retaining clip isn't positioned correctly, the e-brake will not function properly.

Pay particular attention on step 3 of the LCA install an how the cable stop and clip are positioned.

(excerpt)
3. Remove the e-brake cable from the brake assembly and temporarily route away from the LCA.

Note: Disengage the e-brake handle before attempting to disengage the cable. If removal is still difficult, try pressing down where the cable end is to give it a little more slack.

I think the problem was how a positioned that silver metal retaining clip. Does half go above that black metal piece and half below?
