The MMR cai was the first one out, so it was one of the first installs. I've since tried two others claiming better hp, but that didn't play out on a dyno, at least not in my case.

In my opinion, you will do just as well with the MMR as you will with any other pick out there.

Hi as I'm sure you gather from the topic title, I'm a little disturbed by the gas guzzling nature of my '05 GT... I have had a V8 Dodge Durango, V8 Grand Cherokee, V8 Navigator, and have driven countless of my parents and friends vehicles of similar nature and have NEVER experienced such horrific gas mileage. I LITERALLY fill up my mustang's tank, and it is at 3/4 tank by the time I get home, and 1/2 a day later. I've had my car roughly 3 weeks and have filled it up, I dont know, maybe 7 times... is that normal!? I don't do that much driving at all.... I absolutely love my car but I wanted to see if this is the same for other people or maybe there's something wrong with mine...
What is your MPG? Did you measure actual miles driven and physical gallons of fuel pumped into your vehicle? Don't always rely on the computerized calculation.

If you are only going by fuel gage, maybe you have a sending unit problem and not an actual fuel economy issue.

I'm getting about 18 city and 24 Highway with 6400 miles on the car. My best MPG was 26 driving back from Wilmington, NC to Baltimore, MD. That was even with a 140MPH stretch racing a Benz AMG SL55. The SL55 started to walk away from me after 120MPH.

I get about 18 mpg around town and have gotten upward of 26 on the Interstate. How you drive make a big difference. Those with IUP you can switch on the MPG gauge (the one with the bars) and try leaving a stop sign without it going to zero. It's next to impossible, at least for me. Another cool thing is to find a down hill stretch of highway, left of the throttle, and reset the MPG meter (the one that tells how many MPG's). I've seen it briefly register over 80 mpg. Then it comes back down to earth. Nothing earthshaking, but it is cool to see.

Got a little over 4,000 miles on the car. Most rural driving with a little city - averaging around 21+ mpg. On the interstate, at 75-80, 23.8 - 24 depending on temps. Have the K&N with HC in.

I have the automatic with a CAI, performance tune, 4:10 gears and keep my foot in it all the time with very little freeway driving. I get about 10 MPG on 91 juice. This is a fun car for me and I have others for comfort and RV towing.

As others have said, its a mixture of probably city driving and shifting after 2000rpm.

Shift before 2000rpm and you'll see your mpg improve. I bet there are times when you are in second where you should be in third and same for the other gears
