FRPP / Whipple Supercharger Install.....

To everyone, ALSO KNOWN AS THE "FORD RACING SUPERPACK"

PART#1 The Parts

Well Guys,

Box#1 Finally arrived today. Box# 2 is being delivered tomorrow. 10/5

Box#1 came with everything required to install the blower. I have to give mad KUDO's to Whipple for their neat and organized boxing of these parts. Every part is individually baged and Labeled with a Whipple Part# and description of the part. WOW I'm impressed.

Box#1 Containted:
Ford Racing Spark Plugs
Ford Racing Fuel Injectors
Cold Air Intake Arm
GT500 Fuel Pump
Thermostat
Intercooler
Intercooler Piping
Intercooler Pump
Intercooler Wiring
Fuel Pump Wiring
Bolts & Nuts
Manifold Gasket

Box#2 contains the rest, including BLOWER!! I can't wait!

And I drop the car off Friday to have it installed this weekend!

Here are some pics of Box#1, I will take pics of Box#2 when it arrives tomorrow and I sure will leave the camera for the installer to take pics of the install process and take dyno videos.

Enjoy guys.....

got a guy in Tabernacle gonna do it for me. Modern Muscle Motorsports. Guys name is Paul Vaughn, he knows his stuff.

In the way beginning, I called Downs Ford for all the information on this kit and install; and what they told me is they dont install Ford Racing Performance parts anymore. the only other FRPP performance installer around the NJ area is Joe Heck Racing in Lakewood, NJ. He's done a few 05 projects too so he is familiar with the whole 05 setup.

Joe Heck Racing is owned by Joe Amato who used to be affiliated with Downs Ford. He hooked up with Duane Gutridge from Outrageous Mustangs in Jackson to form Joe Heck in Lakewood. Duane knows his stangs but hasn't done a lot of work on the S197's. Downs Ford owner has a 2005 that they have been constantly working on. I'm the first Whipple install for them which is why I would like to find a tuner familiar with the kit for a second opinion once its on. Do you think your guy would mind looking at mine on the Dyno and tune if necessary?

he would have no problem throwing it up on the dyno and checkin the A/F ratio. its a bit of a hike to Tabernacle from Toms River. Maybe you can call up SLP Performance. They just opened up a new facility with a dyno, since its closer to you, maybe you can do some pulls on there.

If not, my guy i think charges like $75 for 3 pulls with the A/F monitors on the vehicle. unlike some other shops who charge $30 to set it up and then $30 for each pull.

there is no part# yet from Ford Racing. I had to get the kit direct from Whipple. They are the manufacturer of the blower. The just stamp the name Ford Racing / Whipple on the blower.

but here is where I bought the kit from and I highly recommend from these guys!

Actually, there is a Ford Racing part number:

M-6066-M11

M-6066-M11P for the polished one

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=9765

They're not widely available yet, if at all. Spring 2007 is the last I heard.

I would take a ride over to tabernacle if i were you NDHESQ. SLP is still stuck mostly on GTO's and Vettes, the ride to tabernacle isnt too bad IMO. and hey maybe if a few of us want to all go get our cars dynoed at once, make a little day out of it or something. Besides SLP is a diablo tuner. not the greatest.

Hey Mav

Do you want to see if Paul Vaughn would want to do a Mustang Dyno Day? I am sure we could get more than a few interested members to show up. If he says yes we can post it here and on MF. It would be great to get a bunch of us in one place with our cars.

he would be more than happy to do a dyno day, he has a MOBILE DYNO, so he can take it anywhere he wants.

I'm just affraid to do it again. I had one done in April of Last year for us TMS members when the track opened again and I had the Dyno Day @ Atco Raceway. I had soo many people interested in doing it, had tons of PMs and what not of confirmed people and only had about 10 people show up and 5 people use the dyno.

if willing, and we get a good decent amount of people like maybe 10+ to actually want to go on the dyno, then yea we can talk to him about it.

just let me know, or maybe you would like to host a dyno day at a certain location.

you can't go wrong with this kit, really. I looked at the saleen and I just didnt like the way it looked. in order to clear the stock hood, you need motor mounts to drop the engine a good couple of inches. that there is labor work...

You know, I've heard of that.... BUT I also know of 2 people here in the desert that didn't do that and the clearance is fine

You're the reason I said "not widely available yet"

I'll be anxious to hear how your install goes.
