Don, I just sent in a donation from Rich and Joyce. My brother was evacuated from his home in Spting Valley but it survived and he was allowed to return. He is heartbroken as we all are about what has happened. God bless. -Rich

 

As you all may know, on Monday morning there was extensive live TV (KUSI)coverage of the house burning (something like 20 to 30 minutes I’d guess), plus quite a bit of footage shown all day long. My son copied a lot of it off his DVR, and made us a DVD. Part of it was a 5-minute re-cap summary that KUSI aired Monday night. I have converted it and uploaded the file HERE. This file is about 30MB, so give it time to load… it may take a few minutes, but it’s worth it. You can also do a right click, save as if you prefer. They specifically talk about how the fire fighters initially had our house saved, but then an ember re-ignited it and they lost it the second time. Eventually, I will upload the full video of the house on fire.

 

I just talked to Jim III with JDM (http://www.teamjdm.com/speedlab.php); he and his father Jim Sr. also want to help out Don &Donna. Get this, they want to either auction or put on eBay a Saleen Supercharger with all the proceeds going to Don & Donna. Jim III also told me that if any new customers wanting a Saleen S/C will be direct to the web site where the S/C being auction off or on eBay. The details still need to be worked out, so standby for more news to come on this.

I want to thank JDM on behalf of Don & Donna for this donation. It is amazing what the vendors from Modularfords and S197forum are doing to help Don & Donna. I’m lost for words.

I am totally speechless. When Ed called me to tell me this I just couldn't believe it. Who said miracles don't happen... I've been watching one unfold right before my eyes all week long. All I can do is offer a heartfelt thank you and my sincere appreciation to JDM. This is unbelievable.

It's amazing to me how some houses survived when the house next door or on either side didn't. It's like the fire had a mind of its own.

 

Don and I were talking yesterday and he wants small stickers from ever vendor that has/is supporting him. He wants to put the stickers on his radiator cover, that way people can see them when he's at the track and has the hood open to cool off the motor.
So vendors, please send some stickers and a couple of extras also to me at

Now that all the raffles, EBay items have all ended. The total that I have which includes all donations collected came to $16, 965.56!

This could not have been done without all of you; the support from the mustang community has been outstanding. I thank you all for your generosity and know that this is all going to help Don & Donna rebuild their life.

I thank ALL the vendors for their support. The donations accepted by them through the raffles and EBay items brought in $10K (round off number).
