Do I see an uncovered radiator hose there?

If I drop in an aftermarket radiator I'll convert over to Earls Aluminum Fittings too and really break the bank.

I`m going to put all four corners on jack stands with all wheels off. And while I`m at it, completely drain and fill with new brake fluid. Its almost 2 yrs old now. Make sure you have the right tools ! As in brake line wrenches. Earls makes and individually test each line.

If you`ve got some brake knowledge and can turn a wrench your good to go. Its mostly a take off the old, put on the new replacement. A few hours at the most with some help to bleed them when their on and its done.

LOL, I started reading through it and was like D@mn, where have these people been? Then I noticed the date... Point well made above though, it's good for some of these to come back up to the top.

Yeah, $$$. You can get the Earl's lines here http://www.ls1speed.com/catalog.cfm for $100. Do a search on this part # EARL28B600.

I see you`ve done quite a brake upgrade, did you do it all at once?..... as I wanted some idea of results from just the SS braided lines? I can imagine you`ve got some kick axx brakes now with the drilled/slotted rotors too.

On a side note, my front HPS pads are squealing like a stuck pig under 20mph. I've confirmed it's due to the cold weather, but it's unacceptable to me and it's driving me nuts. I just ordered a set of EBC Red Stuff pads for the front. We'll see how those work out.

Mine did have the brackets setup in the reverse orientation (many of us had this issue). It takes a minute to swap them to the correct orientation. (and if you can't figure out how to do this, you really shouldn't be working on your brakes... )

I have the Earl's and they have been fine. The only reason I picked them over other brands was that they have a good reputation out there, AND they were cheaper by a fair amount.

Mine were backwards as well.

here is an easy way to tell if you could use the performance advantage of ss lines. look at you calipers, if they are still shiny and silver then dont waste your money, if the calipers are brownish looking and discolored then an upgrade is in order.

If you really *need* them, they will be getting hot enough to turn the finish to a nice brownish color after a few track weekends.
My feeling on the stainless lines isn't that they give much of a performance increase, rather they are a safety item. They will take the heat better, a debris hit better, or any odd rubbing better than the OEM lines will.
