I have the original C&L intake and installed it at 3000 miles and with a generic 93 octane tune I picked up 30 hp and 25 lbft of torque. So this thing may not make much more HP but will definately pick up the torque over the C&L. I just dont have the money for one of these or I would pick one up in a heart beat. I love the product Ken and only wish I could change out my C&L for you air intake. Great design, love the velocity stack. Take air at high speeds and then dump it into a large volume plenum you get much faster throttle response.

Hey Ken,

Wow, those numbers are huge for just a simple intake and tune installation. Have you had any independent testing of this? I'd be willing to do this as I did with the Bullit intake, I have two cars, an 05 GT and a 06 Gt that are stock except for a off road pipe and intake but I also have the stock intake to reinstall on them.

You don't have to send me a new one and you don't have to give it to me either as I'd be willing to return it to you after the testing.

I can also get flow numbers for it if you'd like? Just let me know, I'd love to see this and develop a tune for it too.

Thanks Doug.

Got my CAI/Tuner from Modular Depot today, install is a snap 30 minutes tops. the fit and finish are top notch, had 1 little snag the breather hose that goes to the PS valve cover was about 8 inches to short. I was however able to remove the end from the stock hose and it mated to the new hose very well and looks quite good. You can see this in photo 2 below, I would highly recommend this CAI kit from Modular Depot.

Got number 16

I'm not really happy with the way my Demolet intake is starting to self destruct after only 3 months and about 1500 miles. If I decide to purchase a new CAI, it's going to be this one

Issues with Airbag Recall

Haven't installed my Modular Depot CAI and tune yet but was wondering if anyone with the setup has had the airbag recall done and experience any issues? See: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=466550

First Stang, I guess it all depends on how much you trust your dealers mechanics. The dealer is not supposed to affect the PCM during Airbag recall/update, But Techs are human and some are not to .... I have MD's unit but have not had the time to have it performed nor do I think I will. I think if you are explicit and stay with them so they don't flash your PCM, you'll be ok. Just my .02

I am not having it done because we are a tall/large family. so no one fits the demographic in my household or ever will.

Question 6 month question

I was wondering, since the MD CAI & Tune has been out about 5-6 months now, how is it working out for those who bought one?

Any thoughts on comparisons with other CAI and tunes out there?

Thanks,

Reviving this thread with a question about Modular tunes. I know that there were some cold start issues with the original tunes. I loaded the new 87 tune and with a cold start it revs to 2000 rpms and then drops to 750. When I recently loaded the 91 tune, it now goes up to 3000 rpms for a cold start. Anyone else with the Modular CAI/tune getting this high cold start revs?

I too am still having this issue. I thought it went away for a while but in reality it never did. I've been too busy/lazy to get in touch with MD and get resolution to the issue. Any others???

Sent a PM to Ken today. I sent an email to Nancye at Modular a week ago but haven't heard back.

I never heard back from Ken or Nancye at Modular. I guess they aren't supporting this product.
