Steeda did the install , so I don't have any tips for you if you're planning on doing the install yourself. It came with an installation manual that has a lot of pictures and appeared to be laid out pretty well. No heat issues that I'm aware of , but I did get thrown into forced limited power mode a couple of times when I got on it. Since it didn't throw any CEL codes , Sam at Steeda called a ford tech and he thought it might be blowing the spark out. I already had the one heat range colder plugs , but I left them at the factory gap of .045" since I was NA when I put them in. Sam didn't re-gap them initially , I not sure why , but once I told him that he set them to .030" and it hasn't happened again.

Dude your lucky, a magnacharger for 3000k, I would be all over that. I would get one but they are not carb legal. They whine like a sob and I love that. That's the only thing I don't like about a centri is that they aren't that loud.

If you can put a strut tower brace on your car with the hood , it should fit under the hood. I just posted a picture of mine in your new SC thread ...

That's tough for these hoods. I think some have gotten them on and I have been eager to see it one would fit as well but due to the fact I have had to even shave down a couple of my strut mount bolts I am not hopeful.

Johnny...

I don't know what you finally settled with, but I've had my Paxton for almost a year now. I love it! No problems and plenty of power. I think you'll probably be happy with just about any of them...so many people are committed to the ones they have. It sounds like they're all good choices. I can only say that I've had good luck with my choice. Good luck to you.

I am still on the fence. so many choices. I was very concerned in the beginning about money, and it is still an issue, but I don't want to compromise with a blower. I want good power throughout the rpms range and it looks like it can be done with a twin screw with no problem at all, a roots will be close but not as efficient as a screw, and it looks like the centrifugals aremaking great power with better cooling, but tend to only make the big power at high rpms.

I am told a smaller pulley will help that, but then there is stress on the motor up high unless you pull allot of timing. I also though of a wastegate for a centri but not sure if anyone has successfully done this.

heat and altitude are also issues as I am in the high desert in Tucson, Az. I think with my combination of altitude, hot air, and cs6 hood a centrifugal is the most logical choice. although I love the whine of the maggy, i think heat is going to be an issue there. I like a whipple but they are expensive. I also want to hear the blower. I like the sound of a blower, and my car is no sleeper...

anybody ever see the manhattan project back in the 80's? remember that blower??? yummmmmmy!!!!
