I just called Jeg's about this shifter and they are saying they'll ship Feb. 13th. Are they full of it, or is this right? I am really anxious (like a lot of others) to get this shifter installed. What is my best bet for making sure I get one of the first runs.

 

Do you honestly thinks Jegs is a better source than word direct from B&M?

No, I absolute believe the B&M source. I just find it absolutely ridiculous that Jeg's is showing this item for sale on their website and telling their customers that it will start shipping in 2 - 3 weeks when they obviously have no idea when it will be available.

This isn't the first time I've gotten misinformation from Jeg's. And, unfortunately, they're not the only ones that put these items up for sale before they're even close to being available.

I have to give props to Brent at Brenspeed. He has told me several times that he will never place an item for sale on his website, until he has received in his shop first. That's class.

 

Let's clear the air..It will NOT be ready to ship by then!..I/We have advised Jeg's to take ot off the website to not confuse consumers anymore...they have yet to do it. Trust me; As soon as It is avail I WILL POST ON IT!

 

Thanks for the update subzero. You've done a great job keeping us updated on the progress here on the forum. It really irritates me that some vendors post these things for sale that they know aren't even close to release.

Jeg's (and others) did the same thing with the Hurst Billet Short Throw for the 05+ manual. That thing still hasn't been released. Jeg's told me "should be shipping soon" back April '06.

Anyways, thanks again for the updates. Keep us posted. I know a lot of us are anxious to get our hands on these things.

Also, any chance there will a satin black version of the shifter available. I think I'd rather see that then the brushed billet look. Just a thought.

No black version as of now that I'm aware of, but with the unit getting pushed back we may be able to re-think a few options...not really sure. One thing i know..Once we get all the Hurst parts in here and sorted out: if there are any of the Billet samples or units here, one will be in my car...=)

 

Yeah, I was super excited about the Hurst Billet back when I had my manual. Hell, if they had ever released it, I'd probably still have my manual. But, alas, I've already traded for the auto.

 

Any more word on these? WOuld like to get one before the knotts Berry Farm Fab Fords Forever show.
