Thanks for the photos Mike! And the info too :-) I was wondering about the M logo, cause I didn't see an option to order it without the center emblem.

Yeah, those centers are awful. The first pair 18x10 I bought came with both the "M" [from when they were Mustangs Unlimited] and with the striped version centers too. I noticed that water from washing the car damaged them /got behind the plexi from the side. You have to use them as cores as the diameter and depth is different from the stockers.

The plexi face is only double-sided taped to the retainer part, and when I had my tires rebalanced the kid poked the front off [with my custom cap!]. Luckily I was watching because he just put it back on and I said "just give the whole thing to me, since I'd rather not lose it on the way home". I took it home, scraped off the tape and epoxied it together. I was afraid it would sit too far "on" but it's fine.

I posted this a long time ago about my rims. I think it would look odd with the stocks and dd's on at the same time. They look similar but give a really different look on the car.

Exactly. They are similar but not the SAME. You wouldn't mix black on front and chrome on back so why would you mix manufacturers?

Stay awy from any "hypercoated" rims from American Muscle though. I have the "Hypercoated" GT4's and barely rubbing the inside of the lugnut holes with the T-handle took a bunch of paint off the hole rims (coating paint is REALLY thin). Luckily you cant see it unless you are looking for it.

The rims themselves look like they had some small flaws in them as well during the manufacturing process. I had a couple of wheel shops look at them to make sure they were safe to use and they all said they were but they were not impressed with the quality of those rims.

But hey. you get what you pay for and they were only $158 a rim.

I've purchased many items from American Muscle, including my rims. Great prices and no problems with the rims so far (I have the chrome DD). Can't comment on their shipping because I work about 10 minutes from their warehouse so I just pick up my orders. Keep in mind that you are purchasing inexpensive Chinese rims. Are they going to hold up as well as a rim twice the cost over the long run - probably not. But I knew that going into my purchase. If I get 3 or 4 years of service out of them I will feel like I got my money's worth. I'll probably be bored with them after that amount of time anyway and want to try something new.

I too have the DD chrome bullits from them. No problems to speak of and are 30,000 mile road tested at this point... I also got the Pony inserts as shown below from them...perfect fit!

+1

I have black deep dish and the clear has peeled in large spots on the inner deepdish part on just about all 4 wheels, looks like crap, love the look but the clear is trash.
