I heard there were issues with replacvement driveshafts not fitting if you have the Saleen short shifter kit?

Is that an issue with this driveshaft?.....

No it is not, because this accepts the stock pinion flange just like the factory driveshaft does. That's right from Coast Driveline.

If we cant get 5+ for that price, I can only do $579.99 + shipping. You have to remember, I can cut deals on lines that give me deals. This particular one isn't one of them. I get GREAT deals on 99/100 brands. This is that 1 %.

Because of the oversized charge, UPS kills me on this stuff. That's the absolute best I can do. I have universal driveshaft safety loops that would EASILY work on S197's. They're $32.99. We've used them here before. We also have the bolt in CHE loops for like 75 bucks.

Let me know on the group buy, I can do that for another week or so.

You can put me down for a group buy as long as you take credit cards. I guess I would take one of the loops too as long as I don't have to weld anything to install it. What's the difference between the 32.99 loop and the $75 loop???

We take all credit cards! These are steel and zinc plated 4 piece design adjustable to be able to fit most vehicles. They are NHRA and IHRA legal. Comes complete with mounting hardware and instructions. We've been using these in NHRA vehicles for years and had no problems.

Wow - great news for the car - bad news for my bank account.....

Thanks for the quick reply - you guys at Tillman are really making a good impression on here from everything I have seen.

I need to see about some money I think I might have coming in this month - I know it doesn't mean squat unless its a full committment but I am 50% right now for this group buy. I will see how my $$ situation looks in the next week and jump back on here.

The Saleen Short throw will not work with this kit, nor any 4" aftermarket driveshaft.

Give a call over to Coast Driveline. According to them it will.

The Saleen Short throw is a block that attaches to the the OEM shifter. You have less than 1/4" clearance from the bottom of the Saleen "block" to the OEM driveshaft. The shaft you are selling is a 1/2" larger than the OEM one. It won't work.

Awesome,

So we have 2, tenatively 4 people... when we hit an actual 5, I will take credit cards and ship out immediately. I will do them for the group discounted price listed above 589.99 shipped.

I believe you're correct on this one....... isn't there a 3.5" shaft out now somewhere too?

I haven't seen an answer to the question about vibration with an auto.

Is there any or is it an urban legend. If I can be assured of NVH free operation you can put me down for a driveshaft

Yes, there was a guy selling the 3.5" somewhere. I think they were up around $695 on the message boards.

I'm just going off of what Coast said about the shifter. If they didn't test it, that's their issue...

This is a direct replacement setup so I imagine that most shifters that are engineered to be within reasonable distance of stock replacement dimensions will be compatible the new driveshaft.

In a MANUAL car, the driveshaft was tested on a road course at 128+mph and the shifter was "smooth as glass" according to Coast Driveline. So any Automatic vibrations shouldn't be any worse than factory.
