It's the uncertanties in life that make ones decissions difficult !
You can tell that it's not a factory part, especially being 1 piece. However, if you drive with it and get it nice and dirty from road conditions, it will cover it enough to where the tech won't pay attention. But to answer your question, it's an aftermarket part, and a tech SHOULD know it's different. It makes a huge difference in power. The one we put it in gets up to RPM in about half the time. I love it!

For the GT, manual and automatic are the same. For V6 manual and automatic are different. The GT500 is different as well.

I am positive on the GT man/auto being the same. V6 fitment and GT500 fitment being confirmed next week.

Not only price, but if you put the two next to each other, I'll have to take a comparison shot next time we get the powerhouse in stock to show you... dust covers and everything just looks... "tighter"

I'm not by any means knocking the powerhouse driveshaft... it's GREAT quality... and works absolutely perfect. Never had an issue!

So Tillman,
I would be able to use this drive shaft with my Saleen shifter block and I would not have to adjust the pinion angle? The price sounds nice

Shouldnt have to adjust pinion angle at all. The price is killer!

Me likey! My other GT's got aluminum flywheels and driveshafts. One of the best mods that actually lessens the strain on the engine to make power rather then force it to work harder, not to mention lightening the entire car in the process. Gets about the same weight loss as a new K-member with a hella lot less work.

Only on V6 models. GT500 is different as well. According to both powerhouse and coast gear, the V8 are identical.

So do you have to install a driveshaft loop with this one piece unit? I have always heard a one piece needs the loop...?

If I could touch that price I would. The cheapest group buy I could do would be if 5+ people bought them I could knock em down to $555.

There's not as much profit in this part as people think!

Also, it is reccommended to do the driveshaft safety loop.

Tillman, do you have a loop that could be used with this unit? If so, how much and does it bolt right in or do I have to cut or weld?

Okay, if we can get 5+ people together, I can do 589.99 shipped on them. I'm not even making 5% at that point, that's just volume discount.

If we cant get 5+ for that price, I can only do $579.99 + shipping. You have to remember, I can cut deals on lines that give me deals. This particular one isn't one of them. I get GREAT deals on 99/100 brands. This is that 1 %.

Because of the oversized charge, UPS kills me on this stuff. That's the absolute best I can do. I have universal driveshaft safety loops that would EASILY work on S197's. They're $32.99. We've used them here before. We also have the bolt in CHE loops for like 75 bucks.



Let me know on the group buy, I can do that for another week or so.
