Anyone with high altitude dyno numbers?
heck all - today I dynoed on a Dynojet for the first. Let's just say I was not impressed at first. Then I spoke with the dyno tech (owner) and he said those are the numbers I should expect to see at our high altitude.
Here's the graph..
[attachmentid=23157][attachmentid=23158]
88 *F 6000FT ELV both pulls
JLT, Predator DTP 91 tune, SLP Loudmouth cat back, M5 tranny
Brent from DTP Tuning was a great help. My first run we figured out I was running 11.6 a/f ratio (because of the altitude) and we then increased it to 12.7 to get the numbers I show above.
I think my spark was around 26 at WOT (hmmm. I forgot).

Since nobody else answered you, I though I would give it a go. Raw, uncorrected, actual (pick the name you want) horsepower does decrease significantly with altitude. That's why your car does in fact run slower at high altitude. But, SAE corrected horsepower does NOT vary significantly with altitude. That's the whole reason for using the correction factor. The axis label on your chart says it is SAE horsepower so you should expect that same number if you dyno'ed at sea level.
If you are interested in some reading, here is a website explaining what SAE correction really is.

Hey thanks Boss -
Actually someone did answer my post. For some reason it did not show up on the replys. JeffGT is up in Colorado and he said he experienced the same.
Thanks for the link - I'll check it out.

I am at the same altitude, and planning on buying the JLT CAI with the DTP tune... can you find out exactly what needed to be changed so my engine doesn't explode at this altitude? (The major problem here is that there aren't any really reputable tuners that I could trust)
