Find a local powder coater if you wanted to go that route, and a spare set of covers. Should cost you around $50 a pair. Have the extras done, swap them, then have your done and sell them to double your money

For anyone keeping up with my posts my samples are around a month out. My junk heads to check the clearance won't be here until next week, so give or take a week depending on how soon they get there and how long he takes to finish them.

Just as an update, because of back to back holiday weeks my shipping plans got all jacked up. I will have them on Tuesday, so they should be at his place by the end of the week. I will hopefully have some price estimates and my own personal pair mid/late January to showcase for you guys!

What I'm planning on are very similar to the Moroso piece, but at a more realistic price. $800 for valve covers is about twice what I'm willing to pay!

Would you be able to have "Cobra Powered by Ford" on it? or if not, have it "finned" somehow?

Ford badging is not something I'm willing to work with, not worth a lawsuit and I won't sell enough to get a license. As far as the ribs go, you really need a casting to do that correctly!

Ok, something more open and not subject to law suits. 3V-4.6L or 24V-4.6L

Does anyone else have some ideas?

That could be a possibility if I could have enough people agree on something. I will talk to him but to decrease my headaches I would like a minimum of 5 pairs for him to set a machine up to do that. He will be machining mine BUT it is obviously more expensive and it was a major factor in me deciding to go through him. I think the fact you could set them up to use the old school push on breathers is a pretty neat option for those into that. It would be awesome to have them machined with said logo and then powdercoating everything else a simple textured black (or color of choice). That's something I considered doing myself but I will probably put my pair through our ESP Armor process at work

Well I hope that I can get enough interest to get the price down even more, I don't want these to necessarily be the cheapest on the market I just want the most for my money and options always sweeten the deal for you guys! Let's start throwing around some ideas for engravings! I like 3V-281 or 281 - GT something like that, I think we could get away with just Mustang all the way across or a running horse as well.

I know I know.... Due to copy right issues I don't see that one being a possibility though. Really anything with Ford in it I'm not willing to risk or going to put him in the position of. Hate that it has to be that way but it's been a pretty strict policy of theirs.
