There isn't any way to prove the previous weren't bad... but some cats are so free flowing they still won't pass emissions.

I think the high flow cats are just for visual inspections. There's no way that they are cleaning much of the emissions. Doubt if they can pass in states that require a sniff test.

Well I'm convinced the cats in my 140,000 mile '96 Bronco are so clogged with crap it's time to replace them. And since I can't bring myself to replace all 3 cats Ford put in there I'm gonna put 1 back in its place.

Not quite yet.

Gotta get it done soon. The oldest is 15 1/2 and starts driving it this summer as her truck.

They do. I still have my smog pump and run high flow cats from magnaflow when we did my custom exhaust although soon that will all change. when I 1st got my stang MA still tested OBD1 cars on the sniffer and then they went to roller which was even harder but I always passed, 2 yrs ago when the state changed over the computer system and software they for $$ reasons decided to drop off all OBD1 cars from emission testing and only have to have saftey

I think this was a major factor in not getting a bronco... gas is crazy.
