I was wondering If I could get some input about gears.

I have an 05 auto, and have been debating 3.73 vs. 4.10

Are 4.10's too much for the street, and would the jump from 3.31 to 3.73 make a difference?

Thanks

Hello,
I had a 72 Z-28 that had that gearing. Was a blast to drive on the street, but
if all your driving is on freeway, Id stick with what you have.

Get the 4.10s. Nobody that gets the 4.10s on these cars regrets it, but some 3.73 owners do. I had 4.10s on my 2001 GT and it was GREAT.

Besides, with the taller tires on the 2005s, a 4.10 gearing is only the equivalent of a 3.99 on a 99-04 car.

Ok well im undecided also. I have an appointment on March 2nd to have 3.73's installed in my 05 automatic. The mechanic I spoke with suggested the 3.73's but how much of a difference would it make jumping up to 4.10's? I do drive highway and city daily. Does anyone have the 4.10's in an auto and like them?

I'm thinking I might be sorry I didn't get 4:30's. Go with the 4:10's from what I've heard 3:55 to 3:73 is not great.
