Hey all, just got back from WFC 8. Yeah, I know, it isn't even the end of the weekend yet but haven't you heard of bieng put on the trailer after first round of eliminations? I lost to a Pinto of all things! He cut a .003 light and ran within 2 100ths of his dial in. I tried to catch up to him because of my .051 light and ended up breaking out 2 100ths from my dial in. All things aside and correct me if I am wrong I was the fastest N/A 24 valve 05 at the event. There were several 05 stangs there with 8 of them supercharged. Even the supercharged stangs couldn't get into the 12s on the first day. Out of 6 passes I ran the following times.
13.11 105mph 1.78 60ft
12.94 106 1.73
12.93 106 1.72
12.99 106 1.76
12.85 106 1.74
12.88 106 1.73
I did run on MT ET streets but the increased tire height did not help things, stock geared stangs hit a brick wall without boost at 26 inch tall tires. :bang:
P.S. 169Stang, congrats on your 12.84, always 1/100th of a second ahead! Good luck getting your rear fixed.

Great times Derek. I wish I had the patience to hammer down your times when I was more stock. I just didn't want to miss out on all the fun. I wish I could go to the events over your way. I need to get more seat time and improve my skills. I've been getting pretty good at cutting a fair R/T with .070 or better. At my local track, if you cut anything better than a .009, you get free entry into the track on your next visit. I've only earned 1 so far. I'm just trying to earn free runs. Well, I would rather pay the $15, than pay for breakage! Awesome times! We need to meet up at one of these events.

For all of you guys out there that are worried about the stock gears, I have been doing hard burnouts since day 1 with this car and have been launching with the stock clutch on slicks at 5000 RPM. My gears and clutch have been holding up fine, of course I dont make over 300 hp at the rear wheels either.

Here is a link to some pics of the races, you can browse through each day and see there were some awesome 05s there. The really fast ones were running 4 valve mod motors with centrifugal superchargers, sponsored of course.

I have the SCT tune that allows me to raise the rev limiter up to about 6800, with the M/T ET street slicks I go through the lights about 6200, with street tires (40 series) I go through about 6600.
