08 OEM A-arm brace

Anyone know the Ford part # for the OEM A-arm brace? Looks to be standard equip on 08's and I'd like to pick up one for mine.

It appears there was a brace on previous Verts as well. CHE has a great aftermarket brace and it even has torque limiters that attach to the trans bell housing to assist with shifting on 5-spds. I have a bunch of CHE suspension parts and they are beefy.

If you want and OE brace, look on the site sponsors or authorized sellers area as some of the sellers on here are factory parts suppliers.

I remember reading about those last year and I believe the cost was something ridiculous, like over $200 for a stamped piece of steel. I thought about it then purchased Steeda's G-trac brace for $59 and it does the same thing with better quality.

FRPP: M-5025-A
$48 + s/h at John Bleakley Ford: http://romisher.tzo.com:8006/

It comes with the 4 nuts and is the OEM A-Arm brace.

or you could make your own for less than 10 bucks like I did.
If you do buy one would you please post what the hole centers are on it.

I ordered mine from John Bleakley Ford based on all the positive reviews here at TMS. FRPP somehow lost the shipment and John Bleakley upgraded the shipping to 1-day air because they wanted to get it shipped before Christmas... I give them mad props for great customer service.

CJ Pony Parts. I got a discount due to me being one of there herd members.

I figured this would be a good part to add rigidity since I had to get rid of my strut tower brace when the blower went one.

The OEM A-Arm brace supports the crossmember at the best location: way in the back. The other braces that use the control arm bushing mounts do a decent job but that is a lot of work. The best bar IMHO is the CHE because it uses both types of mounting points. However the OEM bar is the least expensive and does the job.

I'm running the Steeda G-trac brace on my '06, got a heck of a great deal off the board on it and a Steeda strut tower brace. If I were purchasing one new I would go with the CHE brace because of the torque limiter feature.

If I get creative this summer I may make my own based off the Steeda and CHE designs.

As far as Ford factory braces go I would be a bit hesitant to buy one without having my hands on one first. Due in part to the fact that I was thoroughly unimpressed with the factory panhard rod and panhard rod brace. There is something wrong with a suspension component that flexes under a little 'hand' pressure.

I went with the CHE K-member brace and torque limiters. It made a big difference with shifting
