Thoughts on Tunes...
Well, had the performance tune done today. Thought I would describe my impressions as accurately as I can...
When I first picked up the car and drove it, I didn't really notice anything - no major power increase - other than the throttle response felt a little less "sticky", a little less hesitant, a little less like a marathon runner trying to breathe through a straw.
But it was hardly the big "wake up" many have described...and the car still seemed reasonably docile at normal city speeds.
And then...
...I found an open stretch of road and tromped on it.
Holy crap! At 3500 RPMs the car just suddenly came alive; it surged forward, a bit like having a turbo. It felt far less restricted at 3500 RPMs and above when suddenly pushed hard.
So in summary, it definitely does wake the car up, but only when you push it. The rest of the time, all you notice is mostly just slightly better throttle response.
As for the specs: Steeda CAI with SCT III 91 octane tune custom programmed by Pat at Steeda Canada.
And yes, it's definitely worth it!

Since I got my tunes back in Aug, I loaded the 93 Race and havent looked back. The response is great, when merging on the highway I punch it and the traction light even comes on for a second. lol. Even with gas, on nice long runs on the jersey turnpike, pumping out 20-22mpg with a steady 70mph. Back on the local streets it dips to 15/16mpg. Still, much fun to be had.

IMHO the performance difference between stock and my Bamachips 91 Race tune was almost as big as the difference in performance between my 08 V6 and my 08 GT. It was noticeable from the moment I first touched the accelerator!
