Hello I am pretty new here. Ben lurking around a bit and had a few questions about the ordering process.

First off does anyone know how many GT are made in a day or week?

Second If a dealer has say 6 orders for GT's those should be the first 6 GT's the dealer recives correct?

I have had my 06 on order for a little while now and am starting to get real anxious about getting mine and just want to know all I can about the process and how long things can take so that I have a real idea of how long it could take to get my new baby. Thanks for any info in advance

I am right there with you. I ordered mine May 13 and I am still waiting. :bang: I have been told that I could have mine as soon as September or as late as January/February. I have been told that they have cut back the production number of the GTs due to the sucess of the V6 going so quickly. Now how much of that is true I am not sure. I am thinking it is more along the lines of trying to make me feel better.

Any way any input anyone has on about how long the wait usually is would be greatly appreciated. The parts of staring to pile up and my wife is wondering what they are going to fit on

You might want to ask in the ask a dealer forum.

Regarding "first 6 ordered = first 6 received", not necessarily. Do a little searching on order priority.

Obtain a copy of your DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) from your salesman, its a good place to start. This will have your priority number on it (10-99, 10 being the best*)

I have found that a lot of salesmen honestly don't know what this is, so make them ask somebody else if they don't know.

*lower numbers can be assigned by higher ups.

As far as possibly getitng it September and maybe as late as January/February, I have one thing to say... I used a Ford dealership that I have personal connections with and they had my name placed above a lot of other people in the wait list for my black '05 GT coupe, and it still took 5 months... so be prepared to wait a while unfortunately. But then again, doesn't that make it just that much more worth it when you get in it that first time, turn on the ignition, and rip down the highway (not that you should go above 80 before a few thousand miles anyway but you know what I mean)

I am on scheule to receive mine in less than 6 weeks from order to delivery. You need to check if your order was actually put in, some dealers will sit on them. Ask the deale to show you the the order sheet, and it should list your car under your name, and be RET, for retail. If it is not there< go to another dealer. Either your dealer is not getting enough allocations, or just putting his stock orders in front of yours.
