Went down to the dealer to look at an 05 and there was a brand new 04 Convertible GT sitting there:

Sonic Blue, parchment interior, premium, 6 disc cd, with a stick and bullitt rims. Has the 40th badges on the sides. Nice looking ride.

Tells me $25,600 after rebates (this is in NY).

Which sounds a bit high. So - what would you pay for this car?

$24K tops. Looks like it is not that great a deal, unless it is the premium with an A/T, then you're close to invoice. Depreciation is a factor which must be included in your decision. If you are in that price range why not consider the Cobra coupe for around $31K? I know some dealers in Florida still have a few left so there might be some in your area.

Prefer the stick. Prefer a drop top also.

I will be in South Florida in the near future and have no problem with buying it down there, if I could find a low mileage (or new) one.

A new Cobra vert for $31K? Where?

The two dealers that I know that still have Cobra verts are Greenway Ford (1: Silver) in Orlando and Brandon Ford (6= Silver, White, and Orange) in Tampa. Click on link www.fordvehicles.com select "Locate Dealer" fill dealer name then select "Browse Inventory" then type in the car's info.
