Camaro vs Challenger

Challenger as well. I was close to buying an RT before I decided to buy my 2012 GT Premium. The GT is just alot more car for the money in just about every category. Personally, I prefer the looks of the Challenger to the Mustang and Camaro.

I love the looks of the Challenger but the massive weight and poor visibility got to me so I traded my 2010 RT for a 2012 GT stang. The Challenger has a tremendous ride. It's as comfortable as an luxury car because of the ungodly suspension travel and people truly love that car. The thing is, it looks better than it really is. The Mustang is the better car for performance in every area by a wide margin but it's comparing apples and oranges. One is a pony car, while the Challenger is a classic muscle car.
As for the Camaro, I just hate the styling. The Camaro would be my last choice.

Challenger, or a Camaro from the Trans Am Depot.

If I could get the metallic orange 392 I'd get a challenger, but outside of that specific model/color combo that car's image has been ruined for me. All I ever see driving Challengers are girls in V6's or guys who have them donked out on giant rims with colored headlights. When I walk down the Mopar row at Cars and Coffee it feels like I'm in a rap video. So sad.
That's not to say all cars don't have drivers that do that to their cars, but it seems especially prevalent in the Challenger world.
I'd take an Inferno Orange SS.

A Man Just Needs Some....
If it was a daily driver or a car I would travel distances in, Challenger. I think they are beautiful. And very comfortable.
I always was a Camaro/firebird fan but the new ones not so much. The only trim package I like on those is the base v6 trimming. The SS and ZL1 look like crap. IMO. And the mustang is just kinda boring. Not bad looking but not exciting to look at.

For me: Challenger all the way...though I am a Camaro fan as well. I'm not a brand zealot either (obviously) but all things being equal, I lean towards being a Mopar guy...though I'll continue to buy the best performance car for the dollar (hence Mustang GT!).
Regardless of my bias, between these two, the Challenger is just much more appealing to me. The styling is better executed and it has an old school charm that the other ponys lack. If only they were 20% smaller (or the size of the Mustang), I would own one. They're just waaaay too huge.
Bring on the 2015 SRT Barracuda...I'll take mine with a Hemi, 6spd, and any available handling options.

Love my challenger....but it's become like driving a couch since I got the boss. It is a beauty though. I have nothing against the camaro though...I'm one of the rare ones that thinks it looks cool as hell. That lz1 is tempting!

But back on topic i love the challengers. They just ooze the pure muscle bound sexyness that defined muscle cars of yesteryear. If they were so big and heavy it wouldve been a much harder choice between the mustang and chally. I do like the camaros but only from sideline perspextive. Things look friggin sweet! But alas, the design is its ultimate downfall. While great looking, it really plugs up the interior. Very dark, almost cave-like. Tons of blindspots, mailslot windows, weird ergonomics, four very important gauges are blocked by the shifter (although i do understand the link to the past here) and it just feels heavy. Ive never enjoyed any seat time in the new camaros. Had some rides in a chally, great experience. But when i sat behind the pony emblem on the steeeing wheel, i was just blown away!

I'd go with the Challenger, the Camaro is the better performer but is way too compromised. I like the exterior, hate the interior and the driver position inside of it.
The Challenger is oversized and underpowered compared to the Mustang and Camaro. I think it would make the best daily driver because of it's size. I just wish Dodge would put the 8 speed autos from the Charger V6 into their V8 models.

I was doing some research yesterday for some reason lol but the '12 challenger r/t is just as fast as a '13 mustang pp pkg, the mustang is actually quicker and better too for much less and it's a v6 vs a v8.
I loved the challengers, but just like everyone said, theyre boats and it feels like driving an SUV but the main problem is what people do to them, 26 inch wheels and wacky colors and ugh it's just awful. The interior is bad but not as bad as the new camaro, the new camaro is truly a turd.
