Which do you think would be better at the base model? These things are pretty cheap for thier brands...I would consider either one...

I don't know...the Audi sounds cooler...but I think I'd rather have the sedan...The S40 T5 would probably be a better than the A3 2.0i, but that adds another 2k....so I guess base for base, the A3 has the upper hand for having the 6 speed, and 32 more horsepower...but still wish it was a sedan.

 

It'd be really cool if you can get the 3.2 though... awd and turbo charged!

I dont know why, but I like most hatches over most sedans

 

the Audi 3.2 isn't turbo...just the 2.0.....but the Volvo can be made with the 2.4 turbo and awd....but if I had enough cash to get the A3 3.2 Quattro....Id get the A4 insdead....(sedan= me like)...that why I like the S40....cuase its kinda a mix......but hey, who am I kidding, I voted for the A3

Audi A3 gets my vote. I know we're talking very different and more expensive cars, but I really like the Volvo S60.

 

Get an R32, basically A3 3.2 content for A3 2.0 price. Oh yeah, there may be some kind of wait involved however...

S 40 for my vote but I noticed they look like a Jetta kinda.

I didn't hear many positive things about Audi in N. America.
