One thing I forgot about our 'Shelby sheet' they gave us-the phone number they put on the sheet to call is directly to the SVT/GT500 group. They were like 'um we don't track the VIN's for those here or know the status'. As to the phone number to call 'you can check the Shelby website or something, I think its shelbyamerica.com'. With no order guide updates either, it pretty much takes a Mustang fan working somewhere in the dealer for it to get it done properly.

So you order a $31K GT you add about $8K and that gives you the approximate price of your SGT. Again this program seems to be too confusing for dealerships and you have wonder if there wasn't an easier way. Someone needed to think a little more "bolder" where the process was concerned. IMHO!

These 54Us in NJ came up on the Ford Direct website.
(I logged in via the xplan site)
I even got a x-plan price for them.

Ford should have a seperate inventory data base for these special models.
That would end the confusion.

Here's mine, its pretty clear http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=140082237428

But again, Ford should of amended the order guide and produced some literature about the car well in advance instead of a one-page 'letter' being the only information on the car at all, on December 20th, no less. Mine was invoiced on 12/5, so it shows you how much 'help' I got from them.

Kevin, I realize now what you were talking about. the car I saw appears to have been oredered with no IUP, that will not change when it goes to Shelby. They may have thought it was similar to the GT500 and would be refitted after. Interesting though.

I just ordered a black auto today. I didn't realize they had the heated seat option available the first time around. You can't get the comfort group, but the heated seats took in the order. So I ordered it again loaded with nav, and the remote start and heated seats over $33k for just the GT though, they are getting a little pricy before the $8400 add-on considering it doesn't have premier trim or comfort package. Oh well...

That first link I believe is the one that Shelby threw a fit about. I just went with straight up pricing on mine online instead of the annoying reserves or cheating ebay fees by doing just the markup. It is what it is...

And a shelby with a tan interior wth???

That car sounds nice.

Any estimates of how many will be black or white and with charcoal or tan interiors and or iup/non iup?

I forget the exact number but they force the 50/50 split of black/white and again on auto/manual evenly on all four combos. The interior options and color has no set number though. I just don't remember any 66 shelby GT350s with tan interiors though

edit: I think its 6000 total; 1500 of each core model(auto/color).

Just wanted to leave an update for everyone! I ordered my white SGT! No ADM! Yeah me! I am having the CD6 hood installed and the rear spoiler re-installed by Shelby. I would have gone with the black but i just can't get by the black wheels. Ugh. Oh well...with any luck I'll see it end of April early May. Good luck all!

Yes the price can go up with the options. I am sure some will sell for the same with or without.

I wonder how many Deluxe units were ordered with no iup.

If the standard dash had the instrument cluster it would make it more appealing. I like the standard black dash but would want the cluster that comes with the iup.

If the Sport Appearance Package with the color accent can be ordered in Charcoal It will be a Shelby with the aluminum steering wheel if a buyer doesn't want the IUP?

Kevin, you have me scrolling back the memory in my head!

Was the difference from job 1 to job 2 of the u18, the tires? Went from Black side wall to White Letters out?

I remember on the xlt's, the center cap changed from dark grey to bright silver!

Did some searching, and it looks like the change was color keyed steps. ****, I am mad at myself for not knowing that!

Hey Kevin, the reason why you didn't see my reply, is because I didn't attempt to answer that question. The 2003 selling season is a BIT blurry in my mind. I was experiencing liver failure for most of the year, and I had a transplant on the 7th of October in 2003. So pretty much everything I sold from March on, I really don't remember at all. And this is bad for me, because I have been told I'm real good at remembering customers who bought cars from me 8 years before. Just that year, I was at the hospital weekly for blood tests, and in August had my interview for a transplant. To me honest, I almost died, and was too sick to remember anything. I still worked (I worked till close on the 6th, and had my surgury the 7th), and still sold cars, but my skin was yellow in color, and I was extremely weak, and I really don't remember a thing. Thank god for modern medicine, amazing doctors, and nurses, and for organ donors.

Where can we get this tire inflation kit? Does it replace the donut completely?

It replaces the spare completely. I attached a picture. It is available in the 2007 Ford Racing Parts catalog.

Sorry for you other salespeople, I was totally busy past few weeks with work and a couple girlies

On the Job 1 expys for 2003(U18 400A), the Eddie Bauers had awful black running boards and they had the wired-headset DVD players(and also came with the leaky moonroofs so water would promptly drip out of them and the grab handles)...

Later when the boss was shopping for Ford auction vehicles to sell as CPO units, you would see them clearly in the few pics they give you to help avoid them like the plague.
