Guys what your thoughts on shift lights? I was consciously running my gears close to 7K at Road America, so close in fact that I'd forget to shift while concentrating on the track. Looking down at my rpm gauge and navigating the track close to 7K every gear was a little difficult :-) I figured a shift light (set at 6800 or 7K) place on the A pillar (eye level) could help keep my eyes up on track. Maybe I just need a driver mod :-)

Very interested to hear how the brake kit install goes; and whether it includes all the parts for an easy install, or if you have to search out or fabricate any additional parts. Brake shields look a little crude but probably will work fine. I am planning to do the same thing sometime this summer.
About the shift light -- dmichaels has a great set-up with a bluetooth OBD port transmitter, i-Phone, Harry's track timer? app, and phone mounted on windshield when driving . . . this captures the track video, captures the data coming from the OBD port such as RPM and gear, and also has the ability to display the gear and flash red for shift light at designated RPM. Pretty sweet set-up and the total cost is probably similar to what you would pay for a shift light alone, assuming you already have the i-phone.

Thx Bert, I'll definitely share my thoughts after the brake duct install. And thanks for suggesting dmichaels :-)
@dmichaels could you please list the specific OBD you use for the rpm shifting. I have Harrys track timer already.
Thanks guys

Very cool! I think one of the nicest things to look at was when I got the new brake duct hosing installed and that nice orange up front. That looked very cool!
I think the Aeroforce Interceptor has a shift light in. All you do is just plug it into your OBDII sensor and it will read all sorts of **** for you as well.

I'm pretty sure he posted the details already in another thread; maybe one of the ones with his track video, I think it might have been Palmer, Mass. IIRC

Just installed the Steeda Clutch spring (95lbs for 2011) and out for a drive. Pedal force is definitely linear compared to standard spring. Shifting is easier but not sure if placebo right now :-) For $9 purchase it was worth it. Recommend switching them out :-)
