Help cleaning window trim

I need a little help from the car detail gurus around here. Apparently the last time I detailed my car I got some cleaner, polish, or wax on the black window trim which has left a white residue. Any suggestions as to what the best way to get this off of the trim is?

Thanks.

A simple eraser, or some Simple Green on an old toothbrush should do the trick. If all else fails, Isoproyl Alcohol cut 1:1 with water.

Don't forget to treat the area with a trim restorer after you're done though. Dull gray trim is nasty.

Put the back to black on using a tooth brush , it gets it into the grain ...

If you apply a Protectant (though I do use Back-to-Black on my older car) on the trim before you wax, you'll run less risk of staining the trim.

Also, I use FX SynWax, and it really doesn't stain trim at all like a old-style polish or cleaner wax might.

Meguiar's just released a new product called Ultimate Protectant which in my opinion beats Back to Black hands down. Give it a try first.
