Glad I'm not the only one that thinks that way! I've been thinking that Windex had been cleaning worse and worse over the years. I remember when it seemed to work great but nowadays it just seems like an inferior product anymore?

Glass is porous and I have been known to wax the inside of the windshield. The porous parts get filled in with wax and makes it easier to wipe clean from the film that builds up. The only down side to waxing the windshield is you may see wax smearing marks when headlights hit it. Depends how well you buff the inside glass after waxing. If you buff well, you will have a perfectly clean windshield that wipes clean again very easily without cleaners.

I use Invisible Glass, and their clean and reach tool. I think it does a really good job. I havent tried the rain repellent on the inside though.

It's the carbon in the ink of a newspaper that works so well in cleaning glass. Don't ask me why, I can't remember. When cleaning optics like rifle or spotting scopes a lens pen is often used. One end has a pad that is impregnated with very fine carbon and it is used to remove any built up film on the lenses.

That stuff is the best. I also use Meguiars new one too. Use one Microfiber to clean with the stoner and another to wipe off . No Streaks.

The best method I've found is take a bucket squeeze in dawn dishwasher detergent, Blue. Add hot water, should be lots of suds. Lay a towel on the dash and using a terry cloth towel soaked in the solution wipes all over the glass and then use a squeeze to wipe off soap. No streaks and can use on all glass. Just remember to not do this in the sun.

Newspaper WORKS, NO JOKE. But with Stoner's Invisible Glass you don't need to use newspaper. You can use almost any type of towel and still not get streaks its such a good product.

Vinegar also works well on the inside. I've used it full strength but it sure leaves a nasty smell on your hands.

Big ol' clean bath towel here seems to do the job. If you want to put stuff on the windshield, fine, but I've achieved the best ever results with a clean terry cloth bath towel, and nothing else. Just be sure to wrap your hands in the towel and use ONLY one side of the towel, not the other. Use your fingertips as a wedge to get the lower bit, or maybe a small stick or something, and the rest, well, it's right there, so it's easy.

Seems that the streaking comes from the **** dirty ape hands getting the oil and whatever else on the towel, so that's why the big towel seemed to work for me?

I know, I'm a heathen, but really... it works. At least, it looks like it does when I use it. Simple and effective, for me, anyway.

Only to find a **** ton of streaks when the windshield starts to fog up or when headlights hit it at night.

No. Not even. Not in my experience anyway.
