The place still has to put it through their shop.

 

Craig's custom brackets for Mustangs. He might make them for other makes as well but I don't know. It's a no-drill solution for the front plate. I put mine on a month ago.

Lol Ron ... it actually has a couple small nickle-sized dents in the left rear, almost behind the side of the bumper, I tried to get the dealership
to pay for Dent Wizard to take them out and they won't.
They also won't include the timing belt replacement, even though it's due in 1,000 miles, and they say the leak I noticed at an A/C line going to
the condensor is not really a leak, that they checked it and it's not leaking. OK then, why was an 8" area around it all wet and a drop of fluid
on that line connector? We'll see ...

They ARE doing new front brake pads/rotors, new rear diff fluid, oil/filter change, supposedly all new filters, the parking brake was found
to be frozen and they're fixing it, although I don't know what they're replacing.

I got it for a good price, and I know a very good Toyota master tech, so I'm not worried about the timing belt and other stuff that I'll have
him do anyway.

Started looking at Plasti-Dipping the chrome slats in the grille, and looking at replacing the chrome mirror covers and getting new fender flares,
but that's gonna wait a while.

I probably should look first at getting some side steps for it, since the 5'3" girlfriend probably won't like the step-up very much (she hasn't been
in the truck yet since she's been on a business trip for the last 3 days)

I'm also looking at vanity plates ... 4WDTOY, SNOWTOY, SNOTOY, SLVRTRK, are all available ...

 

To be honest, I hate those Tundras. They were such a ripoff of the F-150 of that era, and they even unveiled the model as the T-150, supposed to be an evolution of the T-100. Then Ford sued them. With all of those issues, no thanks. I will never own a Toyota, unless it's an old school Celica, 2000GT, Supra or FR-S. That's it.

I never thought I'd own one.

I can't stand Toyotas in general, so for me to even consider one, it's odd to say the least.

But I wanted something bigger than a Ranger (I had a 2001 and it was "snug" to say the least - I'm 6' 270 lbs), and didn't want
a truck as big as what the current F150/Ram/Silverado have become.

That left the Dakota and the 03-06 Tundra for me to consider.

And the Dakotas are just plain crap.

So I was left with one choice, the Tundra.

They're good trucks, and it has plenty of power to keep me happy.
