Actually drove it today. About a 50 mile round trip. Forgot why I love this car for a little while. Damm this thing is a blast!

Drove down to The Original Pancake House in Portland. Now for the infinite wait to get a table..

Now parked and rolling around in an F350 Super Duty. I gotta admit, 2000lbs of ft tq is pretty friggin' epic.

 

I put a six foot wing on with some sweet stickers and ran 7s.

 

20hp per sticker combined with that extra 30hp after the wing addition ftw!

 

At the risk of sounding like the mustang noob I am, what/where is rod run?

 

Honestly, I never heard of it until last year actually. It's a weeklong event that's held in Long Beach, Washington. I was talking to a guy in Michigan over the phone (I work a phone job for a living) and he told me that in the Muscle Car world it's HUGE! Apparently it draws a large amount of people from all over the nation. I'm not saying that it's going to be broadcast on Speed Channel or anything but the Mustang Clubs from around here, Portland, and all over Oregon and California drive up and head to it. Last year some of the guys from Vancouver traveled up with Roush 427 Trak Paks, GT500's, V6ers, and all kinds of GT's from classics to modern Mustangs. I'd ever you attend an event this summer, THIS is the one to travel to apparently. My GF has given me explicit and direct orders that I am to take a weeks vacation and head up there with her and the family.

 

Also, the event takes place in September. I think it kicks off this year 09/11/2012 but I could be wrong..

 

Got her detailed and cruised the back roads with the top down for the first time (moving). This is the Kentucky River in the background at Fort Boonsborough.

 

I go to the storage unit about once a week to drop of goodies for it and stare at it waiting for spring. I drove it once, 32 miles from the dealership to storage. on Jan. 13th.

Behind it is a pallet with 4 new Saleen wheels/grille, Sam Stanos Steeda/Koni lower pkg, GT500 spoiler/mud flaps, and AM black tail light surrounds to be installed.
