Doing the install in the garage? If so, the rain shouldn't be a stopper.

Played hooky from work today in honor of President's Day.

Had Chris do a little cleaning on the GT today; he did a pretty good job!

True... That and we have a pretty sizeable covered patio, so everyone, 'cept the workers would be comfortable. I'm just not a big fan of working in the rain. If the front of the car is towards the garage door we *should* be OK.

Man that's cruel... But hey, it'll be his one day, right ?? I just gotta find someone to do that for my car.

What is that bottle that he's using on the stingers ? I have carbon on the bottom of the tips and I've tried a bunch of different polishes to no effect.

'Workers' as in plural? I thought we were all going to eat and drink and watch you work?

Keep us informed if you scrub this weekend for another date.

The bottle you see is Novus Plastic Polish, can be found at Autozone. I use it on just about everything chrome, inside of window tint, glass, etc... even my Oakleys!
For the exhaust tips, I use Turtle Wax chrome polish (liquid). It has a little abrasive qualities that helps remove that carbon build-up you're talking about.

****, you caught that
I'll keep everyone updated. It's so cal so the forecase will likely change about 5 times before Saturday. Yesterday it was 20% change today it's 60%. so we'll see.
I'll have to try that. I've used turtle was, blue magic I think, and old school chrome polish. Nothing has worked so far I also need to try the Adam's undercarridge stuff to get the ugly bits that we're easily seen in the few LCA pics that I took to look better oh... and a brush, I broke mine that cost 20 bucks from griots....(POS brush broke WAY too easy)

Vent Gauge

What do you guys think of these...Do these look to "Marine" (looks like something on a power boat )

I'm looking in to add Oil Pressure / Oil Temp / Water Temp.

Might do this but I'll use AutoMeter Ultra Lites to match what I have already...

Here's CDC's...

I would rather do the dash over the vents but I've heard the shelby mount is too high finding a home for gauges is hard

My favorite has always been the CDC.

I really like the ones from Speed of sound....

The shelby one looks a little too large.

I didn't think I was that stupid, but you are correct. That's OK... I ordered the one I posted twice, so I must have really wanted that one.

I just walked by the car here at work and was wondering the same thing. I'll tape it on both ways and let you guys help me decide!

Not too fond of the SOS gauge pod, doesn't look integrated enough IMO.

As far as those Marine vent mounts..

I'm interesting in seeing this too. It'll save me some thinking later on.

I thought about the SOS center pod, but still like the A-Pillar pod set-up better. I should be putting it in soon, so I'll take plenty of pics!

I'm thinking UNDER the "GT", but I won't really know until I see it both ways. TURBOCHARGED GT sounds better than GT TURBOCHARGED, though.

Jed already has the A-Pillar setup.. he needs more gauges!

That's been my rationale for putting the emblem above the GT, but like you said, let's see what it looks like both ways.

I didn't like any of the dash-top mounts, that's why I installed my last gauges directly into the dash.

on the vent-gauge. IMO.

I haven't seen a gauge pod for on top of the dash that I really like, maybe the SOS but then I'm not too fond of drilling out the dash. I don't have a better solution either... Man, I'm no help today am I...
