Point taken. Although the most important reason would be #2.

If not gears... where to spend my money?

Well, there's that shifter that you gotta have for some reason.

$30 toward some Z-CS.

If you plan on keeping the car for a looong time, put some money away to paint the stripes on. They won't look as good in 7 years (well, maybe on your car they will).

Swaybar removal and the BMR brace - There's $180.00 and that's a neat mod.

New tires. Some BFG g-Force 255/45-18's.

Am I the only one here (besides Brian) that was looking into an aftermarket shifter?

$30 toward some Z-CS.
Yes, this is by far the cheapest on my list to get.
Need to get rid of a brand new bottle of Z-10. Anyone interested?

I would like to have them painted one day. But, at an estimated $2500 (around here in SoCal), it's a pretty dime to drop down.
Not to mention my interior will smell like paint for months on end.

Swaybar removal and the BMR brace - There's $180.00 and that's a neat mod.
This is true. I do like the red powdercoated one from BMR. I may move this one up from the backburner to the front.

New tires. Some BFG g-Force 255/45-18's.
Definitely BFG's (don't get me started on the other brands, Tom!).
Just can't see replacing good rubber. Gotta go video some more burnouts.

What about the Pioneer AVIC-D3? That seems to be an affordable mod (for what it is).

Can I offer you a Candy Apple? Maybe some salt water taffy?

Been there, done that... yes, it sucks.

Leo... looks like you got some new glasses, too. The guy I work with is having his entire mouth redone - something he has always wanted to do. Talk about an expensive mod: $28,000.

Bill - Forgot about the Pioneer - yes, definitely. I still need to figure out if I'm going to keep this car for longer than 3 years or if I'm really serious about getting the second year of the Challenger. Hate to leave Ford, but if it looks like the prototype it'll be hard to resist. I hope it's like $45,000 so I won't be tempted.

I would love to have that radio, but I never take it anywhere that I don't know where I'm going, so the nav part would be useless.

Yeah, the BMR brace would be cool to talk about at shows - if you peer down between the radiator and the engine, you can see it pretty good... especially if it's red.

Ouch $28,000 is he getting veneers on all his teeth??? Nope no glasses here I've got eagle eyes.
--------
Amazon.com is so slow. I ordered my new digicam from them Saturday and it won't be here till next Tuesday WTF.
-----------
Bill-I think the avic mod will be a waste considering how often you use the car. Plus it will be outdated by the time Chris get's it. I'd hold off on the new stereo untill your about to handover the car. The rad support/swaybar delete would also be a dumb mod for you considering you hardly ever go to the track I doubt you'll notice the extra weight of the front end during regular driving. Here's a few suggestions...
Ducktail
Graphics for the side of the car.
Louvers
SHR Faux gas cap replacement
MGW hangars/seat lever buckles
Front end bra (When driving to and from car shows)
Shorty headers (Make the engine bay look nicer)
Powdercoating Valve covers
Saleen HID's
SSE center foglight grill (Would look amazing with your stripes)
One of these now that they got Ford approval

That does make sense.

Excuse me? I am right here... Actually, it's not dumb. The ride quality will improve and if he does want to get more traction, it'll help some. Maybe not much, but some. Plus, like I said, it makes for good conversation at a car show.

Ducktail - he'll say no.
Graphics for the side of the car - again, no. I think he found the 'line' for the vinyl.
Louvers - good idea, but picking the right ones is the trick.
SHR Faux gas cap replacement - no way, why do you want two gas caps?
MGW hangars/seat lever buckles - good idea, but you barely see them.
Front end bra (When driving to and from car shows) - no way... will scuff the paint and stripes.
Shorty headers (Make the engine bay look nicer) - just askin' for leaks.
Powdercoating Valve covers - don't see them good enough with the shroud.
Saleen HID's - rice (and I don't say that often).
SSE center foglight grill (Would look amazing with your stripes) - no way... too close together.
One of these not that they got Ford approval
http://www.granddesignmat.com/gallery2005.htm - thinking about this myself... don't think it will cover up my autograph. What do you think?

It says official licensed product?

Which should I get (D a m n you, Leo)... $140 with white pony (05UPcolorpony)?

The only problem is you have to keep your trunk clean - that's where I keep all my crap and cleaning supplies.

EDIT: Looking closer, I think it'll go right over the autograph. Well, I just saved $140.00!

I guess.

Ducktail -
he'll say no.
I know it's a hassle but it will look great. Heck he can take the declid to the paint shop if he doesn't want to leave his car there.

Graphics for the side of the car -
again, no. I think he found the 'line' for the vinyl.
JMO the side of the car need something wether it be louvers/scoops or vinyl. I think mine need something to I'm just to indecisive.

Louvers -
good idea, but picking the right ones is the trick.
I'd say CDC or SHR depending on how much work you want to do.

SHR Faux gas cap replacement -
no way, why do you want two gas caps?
I guess your right.

MGW hangars/seat lever buckles -
good idea, but you barely see them.
True but I know he's been wanting these for a while.

Front end bra (When driving to and from car shows) -
no way... will scuff the paint and stripes.
Really even if he only uses to travel to shows when his car will be free of dirt. I said that like his car is ever really dirty.

Shorty headers (Make the engine bay look nicer) -
just askin' for leaks.
I doubt that there's plenty of people that have changed out they're headers and haven't had any problems.

Powdercoating Valve covers -
don't see them good enough with the shroud.
Once again I have to admit your right.

Saleen HID's -
rice (and I don't say that often).
Totally disagree. Putting on those cheap blue APC racing bulbs is rice. HID's not rice.

SSE center foglight grill (Would look amazing with your stripes) -
no way... too close together.
I have to disagree. I've seen several cars with stripes and the center fogs and think they look awesome.

One of these not that they got Ford approval

Yup it will cover up atleast half the signature if not all. Which one are you planning on getting??? I'm debating between the plain raised pony/The raised pony painted in Tungsten/LEO 06GT.

What do you guys think of these?? I think one them would look great somewhere in the engine bay.
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=60987
Estimated Dimensions: 1.5" x 4"

Bill or Brian (Sorry not both) if you guys like them maybe I can order a set and we can split the cost and each keep one emblem.

Comes down to personal opinion. I love the stock wing and I think I remember him saying the same thing.

Graphics for the side of the car -

JMO the side of the car need something wether it be louvers/scoops or vinyl. I think mine need something to I'm just to indecisive.
Personal opinion again. I only put the side stripes on to mimick the Mach 1. I purposely made them thinner so it would just resemble it, not copy it.

Louvers -
good idea, but picking the right ones is the trick.
I'd say CDC or SHR depending on how much work you want to do.
I like the SHR.

Front end bra (When driving to and from car shows) -
no way... will scuff the paint and stripes.
Really even if he only uses to travel to shows when his car will be free of dirt. I said that like his car is ever really dirty.
But people will see it that way on the drive!

Shorty headers (Make the engine bay look nicer) -
just askin' for leaks.
I doubt that there's plenty of people that have changed out they're headers and haven't had any problems.
I don't like messin' with them. I'm sure there are just as many people that have had problems (leaks and/or leaks that they don't know about) - but they won't tell any of us about it.

Saleen HID's -
rice (and I don't say that often).
Totally disagree. Putting on those cheap blue APC racing bulbs is rice. HID's not rice.
Personal opinion.

SSE center foglight grill (Would look amazing with your stripes) -

Personal opinion, again.

You guys have 427 Cobras, now? Believe me, that's what a lot of people will reference when they see that emblem.

I never even thought of that untill you brought it up. Look who's talking Mr. Mach 1 in your scoop.

You're welcome.

You know I debated with myself terribly about putting that on. But my car has SO many Mach 1 attributes and that emblem gets so many looks and comments.

Get some 427 Cobra stuff going and go for it!

OMG! That was my idea last year! Tom, remember my little poll I took on these?

Leo, I already have one in the roll-a-way, ready for whatever. I used to have it on my MWAG plenum cover.

btw, Tom... those were off a 289 Cobra.
