Tom- I'm not a big fan of hood pins put if you must just go with the CDC one's no drilling required. That way if you change your mind you can take them off. Who cares if they're not real it's not like you'll ever be going fast enough to need real ones. Best of all they're only $63.

"Authentic Hood Pins. But these Hood Pins are unique; they do not require drilling into your hood. You just adhere them to your hood using the 3M bonding tape that is standard on this Zinc Die Cast, Chrome Plated, weather resistant hood pins. The lanyards and pins are stainless steel to maintain the quality appearance. Best yet they work on every vehicle; early, late, domestic or imports."

Tom- What you think about these MGW pieces?
Look nice... I may be able to save $6 - I like the black around the pony a little better! Goes with my theme.
btw- Your FoF is a bad link.
Fixed! I must have been drunk.
Hood pins, huh... Any concerns with water? I'm sure drilling 2 small holes into the hood is cake compared to the Shaker hole.
No concerns whatsoever. I have them on my '89 and they look as good as the day I got them. I would use Stainless Steel screws, though!

I'm still thinking about it, but I would be embarrassed to have fake hood pins at a car show. We were all talking about that on Saturday at MOSI... all of us that met up and drove together wouldn't get hood pins unless they were the real deal. It's the same as always - going for the retro look - a take off from the real Mach 1. I'm sure these weren't fake:
Can you believe that on the other thread? $170 for a modified stock radiator cover? I would just make the modifications to my own radiator cover.

Here's some pics from our club's drive-in (Mustang Cafe) lastnight.
Not a big gathering, probably because it's getting cold and near the holidays. Nonetheless, it's always cool hanging out with fellow Mustangers (is that a word? ).
The SY next to me is Tom's (afixer) supercharged V6.
Even my Sis showed up with her 01 Pony.

Bill-Tks for the write-up. Anymore pics of last night?
Tom-I maybe borrowing your idea and getting a color matched gt fuel door from SHR. Not 100% sure yet but I'm thinking about it.
I think I may have to add this to the mod list now.

Here are some pics:
I had to make a scan of the picture they gave us at Fantasy of Flight:
Attachment 12165
The F4U-1 Corsair Navy Kepford that I won:
Attachment 12166
Rusted screws in GT-H's hood pins:
Attachment 12167
Me, looking like Maynard G. Krebs (so says my wife) in the GT-H:
Attachment 12168
I can't get good pics of the Mach 1 emblem today with the car in the garage. I'll take them tomorrow when I pull the car out.
You don't like the anodized black one? I guess you want it glossy to match the paint.

Look! Tom's wearing long pants! (usually see you in shorts)
The F4U-1 Corsair Navy Kepford that I won:
That's a nice model, probably worth more than a hundred bucks.
Rusted screws in GT-H's hood pins:
Looks like another attempt at saving a buck.
Me, looking like Meynard G. Krebs (so says my wife) in the GT-H:
You mean Maynard G. Krebs?
(She's right.)

Tomorrow?? Booo!

I didn't know people in florida owned pants.

Agreed. To bad it's a Navy plane. Better than an Air Force one though.

Cheap Bstrds.

Why couldn't you just say Gilligan. If it wasn't for Bill' link I would have never known. In the future remember to K.I.S.S. .

Looks like Texas has increased there speed limit to 80. Which really means you can now go between 85-95. Which also means it's not to much of a stretch to go over 100 when the highways are empty. Hopefully California follows suite.

You're too young for Dobie Gillis, I guess. I don't look like Gilligan... with the beard, I look like Maynard.

Here's the link to the thread I started for the UPR stuff.

BTW-I tried putting the SCT emblem horizontally in the center but there's about a 4-5 centimeters that hangs over each side of the fuse box.
