Jon, you didn't loose track. And Robbie, you niether.

I've taken my last F-up (for a lack of better words) offline because I didn't want the drama to go public. But since I don't really care anymore, yeah.. car's at RET for more than a dyno tune you could say.

I'll just say the Swanson screwed up royally.

The stalling/rough running issue was root caused by RET after they started tearing into my month old motor. Piston, rod, pin, whatever debris was discovered all inside my intake manifold from the stock motor blow. All this time during my motor break-in, crap has been falling into the cylinders, thus causing the rough idle and missing. Funny how all the pieces to the puzzle suddenly come together.

So as of today, I'm waiting for the heads to get back from the machine shop, then RET to slam everything back together.

I am keeping the Swanson issue offline, so please don't ask about that.

Sorry to hear that Bill, was there any damage to the cylinder walls from the crap going in there?

No damage to the cyl walls or to pistons. Heads are TBD as far as valve condition, and will be getting a valve job, again.

Tell me about it. All I can say is the guys at RET are lightning fast compared to the other shop and if all goes well with the heads, I should have the car done by the end of the week. At least I'm hoping.

Project ghetto skinnies

Stock spares arrived yesterday. I'll be taking them down to Discount Tire to buy some better rubber and have them mounted later today or tomorrow. Then on Friday we'll see if they help reduce my et's at the track. Or atleast see if I can get some daylight under them. Probably wishful thinking. But a man can dream right?

With the cooler weather, shorty headers, weight savings from skinnies I'm hoping to get a new best et.

Mini SCT Update....

SCT is sending me a new device. Should get it the 19th or Monday since I won't be home. Will have to re-load my tunes onto it, which sucks because I never off-loaded them from the device. Shouldn't be too big of a deal though.

My promise still stands, if this dies out, it'll be in teeny-tiny pieces when I send it back.

Leo. Between you or Luis does anyone have a video recorder, because I don't. We might have to teach Luis how to take pics when we're lining up next to each other.

Yeah I've got one. Only problem is I have no idea how to get the video's off the dvd once they're recorded.

The 305s will be too big for you....... not enough torque to turn them.

I should be able to get the vids off the dvd. I have several programs that do this.

Does your dvd drive accept small disks, if it does it should be no problem.

Be careful Brian, there may be some illicit footage of Leo on that disc.

Ghetto skinny update.....
Well after getting the box with the spares down to discount tire I realize the SOB sold me a GT spare and either a V6 spare or some random spare off another ford vehicle. Needless to say I got pissed off. I left the V6 spare on the ground and drove off. I know very childish of me. Everything said and done I broke even as I used the $100 from Dan's wheels to get the spares. Granted though now I'm forced to keep my front street wheels on at the track.

Back to square 1.

I would laugh my *** off if you accidentally left the GT spare on the ground and drove away with the V6 spare.
(Leo's going to go check now..)
