Not convinced that the whimpy stock 1-core is inferior?

You paid big $$$ to SC and IC it, why not provide the extra cooling?

(just trying to make you spend more money Brian. )

Yeah.... I know. But still not convinced that the stock radiator, for my application, isn't enough. The stock intake is good for 800hp, fuel rails for 700, Exhaust who knows....

Nope my $$$$ is going to be a bigger Heat Exchanger and IC resevoir and IAT relocation. My logic is keeping the intake charge is going to be more immediately important than engine heat. If it looks like engine temp rises, then I will cross that barrier.

It looks, in all honesty, that going forged isn't going to happen next year, if I want a 'beater car'.... so NO HP changes for me until I plan on being forged. until then I will do what I can to minimize the heat effects of the forced induction.

Not saying it's better logic, just mine.

BTW the pic I posted what when I googled "typical Techno lover"

Nice try Leo. I just copied the images from a several pages back.

What's creepy is surfing the net for gay images when you could be doing research on aluminum heavy duty radiators. On your car it's like.. Ooh! Canton.. Canton.. Tsk..Tsk, plastic capped skinny radiator.

Making more HP usually means generating more engine heat. Just saying.

Bottom line, lowering both the IAT and engine temp is always the best bet.

Is that what you Googled? Believe it or not, under Yahoo Image search, only 1 hit comes up...

Question for you car care experts...

I was down and dirty in the front of my car while working under the dash. Maybe it was part because I was sweating like a dog, when I noticed some FUNK smell coming up from the carpet. Lord have mercy, what do you guys do to clean your carpets? Sprays or carwash dudes?

Not sure if your car has ever seen water but if it has there have been several complaints of water seepage on the floorboards. Just throwing it out there as a possibility. My carpets don't stink.

Bill-I won't harass you anymore unless of course you bring it upon yourself.

Spacers got here today. I'll take some pics tomorrow. Probably won't get around to installing untill this weekend though.

jed, try giving it a good vaccuuming, and spray some febreze or one of those odor-killing sprays on it, if that doesnt work, you'll need to clean the carpets with a cleaner and an wetvac

Deal on the truce. I won't blather on about my old-n-moldy rock concerts and quit trying to convince us techno is the 'next thing', OK ?

Won't argue that the single core is not as effective as the Fluidyne either. Yeah the Fluidyne is going to be way more efficient and provide better cooling, but how many people putting out more than 500rwhp need it ? Sure it would probably work better in tandem with a better IC HE but I haven't seen one thing that says at our HP levels it is imperative that we get one.

The Larger IC tank and HE, for me, would be so I could fill it up with bags of ice water any time I go to Irwindale or Barona or a long-azz trip. Every day use it'd be overkill for me.

Well, IF you nominate me, I'll give you the required angle shots.

C'mon Tom, afraid of a little red car with white stripes?

Floor mats or actual carpet smells?

Either way, carpet cleaner and must be air dried well.

I'm not going to back down from any cheap threat you foo!

It's you that better back down and stop posting pics of gay men.

Cool news on the spacers. Same design as the old ones? What's the major difference?

I truthfully don't know how all this techno battle started. But I do know that Leo's responsible for egging things on. Bad Leo.

HD Radiator... I agree, not imperative. But shoot, that just about applies to every performance mod we all have!
It's all good.

Man that's the quote of the century. I think we all could have got a GT500 if we saved the money we blew on our cars. Then again I've rather enjoyed it so far.

But money wise, I gotta get a helmet/fire jacket and basically stop everything on the car unless it absolutely needs it. I NEED a new TV. I Should have a beater for driving to work. None of that is gonna happen if I keep spending it as quickly as I make it. Like I said Forged is probably a no-go for '09 and hoping to pull it off in '10. By that time I'll have a 2nd car and things will be a lot less stressful.

SoCal burger bumbs!

Coming soon to El Segundo The Counter. Hey these guys there getting closer to the South Bay Maybe we could have one in Torrance! Oh please! We should make a run to this one when it opens. Maybe on "play day" that means a freebie.

Been working on the ROUSH tonight the radar is hard wired to switched 12VDC. No more coil wire up and around my mirror. I'll get better pictures when it's all buttoned up. Next challenge is this IPOD interface to hook up to my Eclipse AVN 5495. Their directions are non existent for the most part. I need to talk to a tech for the wiring scheme before I go any deeper.
