Then you're best bet is gonna be asking that on s197, socalstangs or probably modularfords (check out OCHP too). I don't think RET has a lot of people on tms that has had work done by him, certainly no one in POTR that I know of. Then again I could be wrong.

Hey Bill, sounds like you're going to have your car custom tuned? You'd better find a shop that has tuned blown S197s without a 'cooler. Or likely they'll be trying to sell you one REAL HARD.

For the record, I will not go full throttle until it's dyno'd. As much faith as I have in Brenspeed's tune, I can't gamble my motor without validating the A/F ratio at WFO.
One option for me is to throw my car up on the dyno to validate the health of the tune. If spot on in the A/F arena while making good power, I'm good and only out the cost of a dyno pull.
However, if my A/F is whacked, I'll obviously have to commit to a full on dyno tune at that time.
And you are 100% right on the intercooler/aftercooler upsell. One guy already kinda shrugged at my setup for not being cooled.
This is the only of kind Forced Induction I can afford for you Leo.. a straw.

Just do a dyno pull to check the a/f and hp/tq. Then decide if you need a custom tune. Maybe you will, who knows- depends on your altitude, true octane rating of the fuel, etc.
I commented about the upsell to a 'cooler because when Brenspeed did my first Vortech system (the one you have now) they at first loaded their standard Paxton tune (which included a 'cooler) and tried it out. It did not run very well and they had issues with plugs fouling, etc. Brent spent A LOT of time developing that tune (the one you have now) pretty much from scratch and I'm willing to bet that most tuners that haven't done it already won't want to do it, OR they will if you agree to pay by the hour ($$ cha MF'ing ching $$). They'll argue that you'd pay for 1/2 the cost of the cooler by the time they retune it, and that you're better off with a cooler anyway- that kinda thing.
