I think we're gonna have similar problems with clutches..... I've been debating on which aftermarket unit to go with for about a year now. Leaning towards a Spec 2+ with steel flywheel.

Turning down your boost is only a band-aid......
Thanks for the link!

I was planning on turning down the boost after getting some good numbers anyway. So, if it doesn't slip again... problem solved! I'm not racing it... or putting on slicks... so I really think I'll be fine. If not, I'll look into clutches, but I really don't want to have to remove all the exhaust again so soon... down the road maybe.

Thanks! I like the blue car in the link that Tom provided. I would mount them toward the center of the headlight (not toward the top like on the white car in that same link).

Phil - that pic was taken right after the car was washed. The driveway doesn't look that bad when it's not wet!

Tom-Not sure if I like the splitters or not. Alot of things on the PJ only work on the PJ. For example rear window louvers on any other car don't look good to me but on the PJ they look awesome.

Phil-Leave the calipers black.

Bill-Installs looking good.

I'm not 100% sure, either. I'm leaning toward them looking good though.

------------------

Just made a discovery -- I can remove a single line from the boost controller, cap it, and Voila! 6psi.

Then I don't have to mess with the turns on the BC... since it's set at a perfect 10.0 psi right now.

By removing that connection, it eliminates the BC totally and allows the system to work on the Wastegate's spring pressure only, which is 6psi.

Another thought... what if I got them in black to match the stripe and other black accents?

Very quick chop:

I was beyond help the minute I met Jed. For the moment though, just doing research for the next round of mods.

Tom (2?) - go with the white splitters. I think they would look great. First time I have seen your car... Looks great

Phil - I'll try to get pics later today or tomorrow. Keep the rotors black.

I'd keep the splitters white. black would be cool, but white would be better. Nice pics and awesome results on the wash kyle

Tokico setting update

Changed the setting to 5 1/2 up front and 6 in the rear. Feels like a caddy (well maybe not that good but I'd say it feels better than the stock suspension). I now the shocks and struts are a performance thing but for day to day driving no point in putting up with a harsh ride. I may keep it like this for awhile or try playing with the front and rear settings indvidually and see what I come up with. Like I stated yesterday though the sand in the panhard bar has had an amazing effect.

I hope to be okay with the factory clutch, upgrading it is something I don't feel like doing this year.

Correct, not painted.
I'll paint once they become cruddy looking.
Maybe red.

That sounds like a good setting for just cruising around.

More install pics... (from Hector's camera)

Up close shot of the trimmed area on camcover

Plug change (btw, he told be the OEM ones backed out easliy)

Issue #1 so far.. oil feed line fitting rides the mounting plate. Slight re-adjustment and/or trimming of the plate will be required.

Temporary mock-up to check belt alignment/fitment/riding conditions.. like my painted crank pulley?

Oil feed tap and return line (tapped into oil pan). Stripped area will be touched up with paint.

Lookin' good... I couldn't stand not doing it myself.

Plugs backed out easily from lack of driving.
