Car looks great John!

FYI-Chin Spoiler is in the shop for paint. I'm hoping I'll have it back by mid week. I'll make sure to post pics once it's reinstalled.

Like I need to clean that now... My arms are sore from all that rubbing yesterday!
I'd kneed the clay, rub an area and the clay would be sliding well, but it was filled with tree pollen, I think... It was green what ever it was. So I would flip the clay and do it again and it would still turn green so I would have to kneed the clay bar and start again on the same area... It took like three applications of the clay bar to have it come clean!
I should have used a very mild rubbing compound on the paint and it might have been nicer. I used Meguires Color Back and that did a little cutting as well as taking the water spots out.
I am surprised nobody notice that something is missing from the car...
You guys usually pick that up quick.
To answer Phil's comments about bugs, I can tell you one thing that you don't want to use is the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover with the built in wax... This stuff seals in what it doesn't remove. Now I got to figure out how to get it off so I can finish removing the bugs!

Your antenna is missing.

No, I think the clay was the way to go. I wouldn't use any rubbing compound on the car at all.

That Bash performance Mustang sounded sweet. Are side pipes like that legal?

Should be, as long as you have the cats and the dB is within your State's law limit.

I would fail both tests.

I still think I should have used something with a deeper cleaning ability.

Looooouuuvvers!

Maybe try using Color X or Scratch X if you to do a little paint restoration. I wouldn't do a rubbing compound unless it is minimally abrasive.

yeah, not living in California...bonus for any car guy. In some places in NC they only check your lights and minimal stuff, dont check pipes, emissions, etc

Hi y'all! checking in after all these months. are there any girls around here anymore?

I have a question. Do any of you have LoJack or something similar installed? Our Excursion was stolen 2 weeks ago and I want to install something with a GPS locator in my car, as well as whatever vechicle we buy as a replacement for the Excursion.

(waving at all my friends....) I miss y'all....

Susan's back!

Bummer about the Excursion.. hope they catch the guy.

I have the Lojack with instant notification. If the car rolls away without the special key fob (within proximity of the ignition), I get an e-mail and a call to my cell telling me to go check on the car cuz it may have been moved ... or something like that (it's a pre-recoreded message).
There's no fee for this service, only the 1 time install fee when you buy it.

I don't think there are any girls here anymore, but a few guys here may have man *****.. does that count?

yeah- how much is that? I am getting it. I didn't cry when the Excursion was stolen (out of a surface paid-parking lot in San Antonio - I am convinced it is well into Mexico by now), but I would have been in the hospital in deep depression had it been my mustang.

Watts Link in the house!

Stopped by GTR Performance this Saturday They installed the Watts Link system, Aluminum drive shaft and my MGW shifter. Wow the Watts Link lives up to its performance. The car feel alot more stable with no lean. The only thing leaning now is the driver! I noticed that my off the line launch is much easier with the lighter DS. The MGW shifter ROCKS, It's adjusted to the mid point (5 turns) feels just right for JED!

Looks great Jed. When do I get a ride?! Pictures of the DS please. Did you get safety loops for the DS?

TacoMan, do have that much rust under your car? I haven't looked under mine in a while.

This is what i have.. LoJack Early Warning Recovery System

I think I paid around $800 for the whole thing including installation at the Dealer. Only PITA thing is that you have to keep replacing one of those watch/calculator battery in the key fob every 6 months or so.

You can't watch the install (on any LoJack) because they hide the brain module in some super uber secret location within the car... but I found it.

Awesome!

You're running out of speed mods left to do at an alarming rate!

With all that power, you'll need a set of BIG brakes to slow her down..
