Not me, that would be a good show though. Too busy getting ready to move.

To check if it went through simply log into your account and you should now see the blank area filled in.

Rumor is Fedex employees get a 22% discount and UPS employees get 20%. Leo06gtll try it and let us know if it's true. Then give us your email address to use.

Quite, eh? OK, Brian, how'd you settle on the user name "Habu"? Something to do with the Blackbird?

Yep.. I've always loved warbirds and the SR-71 is certainly one of them. Read alot of history when it was available and I picked up the habu from it, always thought it was cool and not many people knew what it meant and to me that was even cooler.

For the mustang site, habu and snake kinda like a cobra, it all fit for me. Usually I use zoso429, Jimmy Page and my all-time favorite engine the Ford 429... but have pretty much settled on habu from now on, when someone else didn't take it.

There is a book, gotta find the link, that has a ton of information in it but mostly operational info... great book and a ton of insight to the SR71 operations

Then, Brian, if POTR ever goes up to Woodland Hills for the Valley Coffee Roaster enthusiasts' gathering, you gotta go... I want you to meet my good buddy, Mike Machat. He is a treasure trove of aviation history and facts... Remember the Gold Cup Roll event Jed mentioned? Mike was commissioned to paint that event, for example... Another bud of mine actually had a Blackbird tire secreted away in his garage...

Texas is doing great today. It was sunny and mild. I'm off from work till January 5th. And I've started cleaning up the clutter in my garage. I hate the clutter.

where did you get that pic Jed ?? Gotta love the j58...

One of the absolute highlights of the Udvar-Hazy museum was that SR-71 tail 972 was on display. It was the the exact model that I built as a kid and that was the impetus for me to start looking into the history. It helped that my grandparents lived in Palmdale and I've seen it fly several times and have always been in awe.

Here are some pics. More are in my album:
