I install it this weekend. Though I doubt I will have the power hooked up till sometime next week.

I completely guessed. I figured it wasn't Minneapolis because why would you even say anything if it was. Then I saw the church and thought St. Paul. Like St. Paul is the only place with churches or something.

Ok, haha. Cathedral is in St. Paul. Minneapolis has the basilica.

Anybody wanna bet that the idiot was on a cell phone? God I hate cell phones, especially when driving.
Better stop now before I get wound up.

I always keep an eye in the rear view when sitting at a light, watching the driver behind me to see if they're paying attention. I think I'm paranoid. I don't think it's cell phones that are necessarily bad, it's the idiots who use them. Same ones who you'd use to see reading a book or the newspaper before everyone had a cell phone.

If you're paranoid, then I am too because I'm scanning every direction just looking for some moron that's not paying attention. I have to disagree about the phones though. People are so addicted to being in constant contact with another person that they have lost their sense of good judgment.

Before cell phones became something that people couldn't live without, I don't remember seeing people everywhere reading a book, or a newspaper, or whatever while driving. Occasionally yes, but nothing like now with phones. When I drive around now, I'd say at LEAST 50% of the people I meet on the road are on the phone (it bugs me so bad that I've gotten where I often count the people I meet or see on the phone). And there is literally not a day that goes by that I don't have someone either cross into my lane coming head on (and swerve back at the last minute), pull out in front of me and never even know I'm there, or merge into my lane while I'm still there to the point where I have to slam on the brakes to keep from being hit. And in those instances 90% or more of them are on a phone.

Crap, so much for not getting wound up. Dangit Nathan.

Sorry.

I do agree about phones and driving. It's just plain stupid. While I know there were never that many people reading books while driving, with the phones, it's every single form of media all crammed into one thing, so there are going to be a lot more doing it. Plus there's the whole constant connection thing like you said.

That was good. I didn't know of it when I was young. Maybe his parents just tell him it was preschool

They would have had to peel me off that chair cause my butt cheeks would have griped on so hard.

Rifle Range - Read before watching clip

Physics lesson. Lucky man.
Turn your sound up..........so you can hear the bullet head back.

This guy is shooting a 50 cal rifle. Watch the dust when he fires. The target is a steel plate, 1000 yards (.57 miles, 10 foot ball fields) away. You can hear the ping of the hit and then hear the bullet coming back. It hits the ground just in front of him, then bounces up, hits the earmuffs, knocking them from his head. The footage is amazing. If you haven't heard a ricochet before, you can hear the bullet as it tumbles through the air on its course back toward the shooter.

For those of you that wish to, consider the probability the bullet hitting the ground in exactly the right place to bounce up at the correct trajectory angle to hit his ear protection, not over, or under them. Fortunately the tumble, or the angle of
the plate he was shooting at changed the return course of the bullet by 6 inches "left" over half a mile's worth of travel distance (right eye dominant sighting - left ear-cup impact). Otherwise it would have been a "return one hop head–shot", instead of an earphone shot.

The ....50 caliber sniper rifle is an impressive piece of gear.
