Ouch! Hope it works out alright for you Dirk. My aunt had gallstones one time, but they decided against taking it out. But she is older and partially paralyzed from a stroke so she's not exactly in the best shape to recover from a surgery like that. Don't remember what they did, but she finally got over them.

Yeah I was in soo much pain that the morphine they gave me only took a little bit away so I could relax for about 30 mins

Always liked Rigid Knives. Couple of guys left Buck and made great knives with 440C, full tangs & rosewood slabs back in the 70's. Bought the big Razorback for my '76 backpack adventure throughout the West & Canada. Big sucker. Big chunk of solid stainless. Figured if a griz was gonna eat me, I was at least gonna make him earn it. 
Plus my old man was a Razorback so it kind of fit.

At the end of the trip I traded something for my buddies lockback folder:
So I've had these two for 35 yrs.
I knew Rigid went out of biz, but just learned they are sort of collectable. So I added one to my 'collection'.
Its called the Rebel.
How appropriate it was delivered to me on 4.12.11, the Sesquicentennial.
Think I'll name it Johnny! lol
Plus my old man was a Razorback so it kind of fit.

Geez... ebay just sent me an email that today is 13 years with them. I was still working then... (by a few days)... think of all the money I'd still have!
