Welp... called insurance, and got a hold of the Dealer body shop... I actually hope they total it... it has 136,000 on it and Id rather have my deducible go towards getting a new car than having to continue driving a high mileage car that has been in an accident that affected the motor...ya know?

About that time another one jumped over the concrete barrier and into my lane. Carnage. I was doing probably 60 and just plowed right into it. Most of the damage appears to be in the grill/hood area. Looks like the radiator was pushed back and it was bleeding all over. Its an '05 with 136,000 miles on it... I don't know how much damage it was or how insurance companies work...

One thing I do know... It felt like a pot hole. Ford built one heck of a safe vehicle.
glad youre safe man

Today in History

Today, 26 years ago, I opened the mailbox and my career in financial services officially began. I took my test on April Fools Day (No Fear!) and on 4.5.85 received official notification that I passed and was legal to do business.

The 80's were such heady times! I mean business was tough as nails like any other era, but there was this positive attitude of entrepreneurship among so many people!! (except union guys as they saw so many others making money on their own rather than workin for the man! lol) Opportunity, self-confidence, willingness to compete and take risks, desire to win... what a cookbook! I mean, here I had a well paying job - with full bennies and a vehicle - and I take the risk of starting my own business with only my personal tool box: common sense, ability to learn, salesmanship, big dreams, big goals, tenacity, inability to quit, faith and positive attitude!

Though I'm not in the investment biz professionally any longer, I'm online everyday - learning, hunting, occasionally trading. For me, its better than sports because game's on 5 days a week! What I learned from those many years as a young businessman beats anything that ever came out of any college degree in business - and those lessons have been applied over and over again in other areas of life and business. And if it wasn't for that knowledge, and disciplined saving and investing, I'd have had zero reserves for that fateful day in April 99 when my favorite stallion decided to have me for breakfast!

For my younger friends, its never too soon, money is never too tight, to start saving and investing for tomorrow - even while owning Mustangs. Just go easy on the mods because tomorrow is coming like a freight train - and you never know what's around the next bend.

Just had to tell that story to somebody. Surely do miss the Reagan era!

Little rain here and there, but it looks like spring is finally here. Hopefully I'll be able to give the GT a much needed detail in a couple weeks.

Yeah, spring is here too. Freakin' pollen, my head feels like its pumped up to 50psi and my eyes are matted like a stray dog. Extreme is 120 (IIRC) and yesterday it was 3600.

Weather looks pretty good this week though...

Thats nice stuff! A few of those drop point hunting knives i could get down to business with on a whitetail cape. Dad used to get a catalog and you could order damascus blanks, i'll see if i can find out what the company was again.
