John bring that impact set back- youll be cursing everytime you go to use it because it wont get any bolts off.

If your going to be using a good impact your going to need a bigger tank for your compressor. The small 6 gal are for framing nailers and not for impact guns.

Ingersol are one of the best impacts to buy- cant go wrong with them.

i have this one as a easy to use setup so i dont have to fire up my compressor and even this one struggles at 300 ft lbs- so a 250 ft-lbs on a small compressor you will cursing so bad and take you forever to wait for the 6 gal to keep recharging.

Everythings going back for sure. Ingersol is a quality piece too. I should've just bought the DeWalt kit like yours on black Friday like I wanted to. Heck, I've almost spent as much by now.

A handy tool to have around?

An old leather belt, works great on oil filters.

keep the tools and return the air compressor..... or get another tank and hook it up to your existing tank for more volume.

Once you buy Snap-On, you can tell the difference. Overpriced, yes. Crap, far from it. Wrenching for a living, you will stay far from craftsman, but occasional use craftsman will be fine. I would at least recommend a set of high dollar wrenches and a good ratchet. Sockets can be bought from sears if you want to save money but they will break fairly easily.

Wrenches are wrenches but snap-on screwdrivers are feet ahead of craftsman.

So is just about every other tool manufacturer. The difference is Craftsman and Kobalt will break in the middle of a job a lot easier than Snap-on or Mac. Just something to think about. I would really recommend Cornwell if there is a distributor somewhere near you. Professional quality but competitive prices with Craftsman.

Good to know. I haven't had issues yet..but definitely something I'll consider if mine ever crap out.

On a side note.. I saw the coolest toolbox at Lowes last weekend. It was about 6 ft tall by 6 ft wide. Built in fridge, speakers, iPod connection, LED lighting, and probably some other cool stuff I can't remember. I didn't see a price, but I can only imagine what it costs.

but you have to breakem first to use the warranty I am pretty sure craftsman power tools only have a 1 year warranty. I have had really good luck with ingersol rand air tools

Good tool to have around when doing any kind of electrical work are a set of home made jumper wires. 14-16 gauge wire about 3-4' long with alligator clips on the ends. You have no clue how many times i have used mine for testing.

The sockets and wrenches are lifetime. I'm hoping to add a cordless DeWalt impact wrench to my collection soon.
